Body mount on 2001 4Runner

I bought my 2001 a month ago and when I was doing rust proofing, I mnetioned that I have worn out and cracked 3rd body mount isolators on both left and right side (the one sitting bellow B-pillar).
I have ordered those mounts from the dealer, but dealer is trying to get out of the job to do it. They just saying its more a body shop work then maintenance. I was also thinking of janging them myself or use private mechanic.
Does someone knows how to change them? Any links, images, discriptions, guidenance will be very much apprecciated.

They are very easy to change--i am just wondering what you paid for them?? I too am going to replace my body mounts.

All you have to do is unbolt all the cab to frame bolts which are under the door sills and using a length of 2x4 (Two" By Four") jack up the body where the body seam comes together. The suspension will unload some and then the body will separate from the frame--install mounts and the rest is the reserve of removal.

I may also just go to the junkyard and see if i can grab some from the cash to clunkers program. Does anybody know which years fit which years. I.e.. do the 1996 body mounts fit all the way to 2002? I thought there was a difference so i just want to be sure.

2001-2002 are different than the 1996 and the 1997-2000 models.

Yep, the later models are 6 2-piece bushings and 4 1-piece:

'96 only have 8 mounts and the middle years are 8 1-piece and 2 1-piece:

Alex--there should be more than two--or are you saying you only need 2?

They seem a little pricey.......looks like i might junk yard it.
