Smile Birthday $$, what mods should I do??

My birthday is a couple weeks out and my wife said that as a gift I can fix my truck up to be 'perfect'. In actuallity I'm probably going to get 2-3 grand out of her. So what should I do??

My truck currently is an '84 runner w/ stock 22r, 33s, 5.29 gears, spring over 4" lift, electric fan.
Just bought dual timing chain kit, magnecor wires.
Within a week will be getting weber 32/36 carb, underdrive pulley kit, TRD 10" clutch set.

So I know there have to be a few opinions out there, What do you think?

I was going to suggest the Extreme kit from All Pro to beef up the older solid axle Toys, but I see you have yours raised already.
That's still a nice kit for older solid axle Toys though.

What about armour such as sliderz, front & rear custom bumpers, winch ect...

Considering what you already have going, I agree with Corey on the armor, bumbers and winch idea...

Dual ARB lockers would be nice, too.

Have a happy b-day!

I've definitely been thinking about some sliderz.
But I'm surprised I haven't heard anyone pipe in with enigine mods like a performance cam or rebuild the head or anything!

2 to 3k will get you a lot.

What are your goals?

Do you have crossover steering?

Lockers are hard to see, but if you wheel it, they are great.

Crawler?

That's because if you're going to have the money to go big time right off the bat. Engine mods usually aren't as expensive as drivetrain/armor mods. The 22re can't be souped up all that much anyway. You'll get more out of it if you focus on the drivetrain.

cross-over steering would be very nice!
my steering right now is very sloppy!!

Goals are to have a daily driver that can keep up at highway speeds and is stong enough for me to beat up a little when I hit the trails (which is far to infrequently)
