Here are some big brake kits: http://www.stoptech.com/

Not for the 4R , but hey, look at those prices :pat:
Plus you need at least 18 inch rims

Yeah, but once you use them, you'll know why they cost so much. Stop-techs are nice, but personally i'm a big-red's fan. My mechanic has been tuning porsches since I was born and has a set of big reds on his desk as they are about to go into his new race car and Man, what a sight. I wasn't talking about something that big. Those are for repeted 100 mph stops with little to no fade. I've seen a video of when they were testing them on a jetta and they actually caught fire they got so hot. It was at night so it was pretty cool looking.

ps, big reds are porshce's famous turbo brakes and I guess were the first to be painted red and since then have been known as "big reds". They have a conversion for Volvos and Audis that isn't too hard to do, but being a porsche product, they are NOT cheap.

i was willing to make that trade off.
Is this true? Do the PF pads really not make noise?
I currently have stock pads and autozone rotors. The stock pads make a noise here and there and it drives me crazy since I'm in so-cal and always drive with my windows down.

Anyone know a way to keep stock pads but get rid of squeaks? I've constantly cleaned the stock pads by spraying them with brake cleaner but the noise comes back within the next day lol.

Wow bringing back a real old thread.

Do you grease the sliders and pins when installing new pads.

I can`t tell you what to do but I never have any brake noise till I get down to the wear indicator .

Could be the rain here makes a difference

When you install the pads the two pins that hold the pads to the calipers

Plus the other sliding surfaces the pads slide on

High Temperature disc brake caliper lube.

I use the Toyota pads or Napa Ultra Premium pads
