badland bumpers

asking a question to people who bought stuff from badland bumpers....

i called them about a week and a half ago and bought a rear tube bumper, paid for it and everything

he said it would be made on about the 30th of last month and would be shipped out, he also said he would email me with a shipping tracking number at that point

well today is the 4th of june and i havent gotten an email from him, and i have been trying to call him for the last two days but nobody answers the phone

what is the deal with this?

im not trying to give the guy a bad review but i just wanted to know if it took you guys longer that expected to get it also or what not

i dont have a rear bumper at all now cuz some a-hole in a 94 chevy supersport impala rear ended me and tweeked my bumper (totaled his car completely...he he he) thats what he gets for not paying attention, so i want to get it before some other bad driver decides to change his stereo presets or put on make-up instead of driving their frigin car!

I got an email from Jeff regarding making me a cradle mount for my Hi-lift like the one that Lee made. He told me that he would be going out of town this week. Jeff only makes his bumpers and sliders and stuff as his "hobby" job. He makes his "real" money doing non-destructive testing at industrial plants. He will get back to you as soon as he can. Believe me, I have his sliders and front and rear bumpers, and they are worth the wait. It can be aggravating at times though if you are in a hurry. He has a small shop, and his volume is low even though the products are top-notch.

I had to wait a week more then expected due to his primary business required him to travel out of state.
Please be patient. He takes alot of pride in his work and will not fab chessy crap just to get it out on time.
It will be worth it when you finally recieve it.

Mike

you guys know if he makes any rear bumpers for the 3rd gen and what they look like? and whether you can mount a spare in there? I found one that is a special order type thing but I just said "forget that" because somebody said they were like 1200 bucks or something.

I am sure that he will make one (if he hasn't already) when he can get his hands on a 3rd gen. I know that he has built them for all the years of pickups and Tacomas, but I haven't seen one on a 2nd or 3rd gen though. Hopefully someone nearby with a 2nd/3rd gen will want one and be able to leave their ride for a couple days so that he can "pattern" it.

Jeff advised that he would like to use my rig to build the prototype.
I need to find time when he could have my 4Runner for a week. Kinda tough since its my daily.
Trying to get it done before PNWYJ. Cross my fingers.

I have been wanting a roll cage for mine, but he will need my truck for a few days, and it is my only vehicle. Oh well. I guess that I might have to get the All-Pro one.

Ditto what the other guy's said.
Jeff is a very busy person, and just does this stuff on the side since he has a full time job which often takes him out of town for a few days at a time.

The gear is top notch.

Ditto to what everyone else says, although I know when I got my sliders on a couple months back, he did have at least one other guy welding for him. It might be Jeff wants to check the finished product before its out the door.

That or you could use a smaller font to buy a little more time before you fill up a page
