Backlighting on stock radio

I have an OEM radio in my '01 4Runner. The backlighting has a loose connection and is flashing on and off, is this a difficult fix? Wondering if I should just buy a new radio off Ebay or put in aftermarket.

you could try just pushing in all the conecters back there in all the way
that would be the first thing i would try
in it doesnt work, then just get a nice hd aftermarket radio, there only about $100 and you get alot more stations
