any advice please..
bear-runner
hello,
i drive a '98 sr5 4runner, and today it started acting up, first i parked it to grab a coffee and the starter stuck and it wouldnt start, so with some help i push started it and got going, i brought it to a hill, and while it was running i turned it over in hopes to turn the starter over and unstuck it, that worked, and i started and stopped the truck 3 times before going on my way, as i started moving out on to the street , the truck started to sputter and as i put in the clutch the rpms would drop to below 500 and the truck started to chugg like a choo choo train, almost to the point of stalling, once i got it home and turned it off, it wont start again the starter just clicks, so im not worried about why the starter is screwy, this i understand, however why i had a rpm issue is really confusing me, i have no catalytic converter, i have put a straight pipe, however as my rpm issues started the check engine light went off..
thank you very much for reading

Well just what did pulling the codes tell you.
If the starter was shorted and drawing battery voltage from the ECM who knows what could happen.
The fact it only clicks now leans towards a discharged battery or poor grounds.
