Another TJM with less gap... (lots of pics)
Thanks TSTango...
Workes like a charm. I like the way the bumper looks lower a lot better. The "hoops" look like eyelids almost, and my bug deflector actually does something now. Which in the southeast MEANS SOMETHING. I barely had any bugs last trip up from the dirty dirty. I was originally going to work on some brackets that would allow for the TJM to sit higher, but I like the way it looks better now and it will also be better for winching when I do eventually get a winch. I also posted some pics from today after a bath... anyone else freezing their fingers off keeping thier rig looking good? This is the cleanest my truck has been in months...
Right after completion:

That is after a 2" body lift but the TJM had a little to come up on its own b/c it has a little adjustment. The picture was taken at just above hoop height, I can see no loss in output. But, the hoops on the TJM are significantly thicker than the ARB so you should definately be in the clear. Your hoops also seem a little higher also.

Hey Austin,
Looks great! I'm glad it worked out for you. The white works well.

Thanks T,
Yeah, I had the spraypaint ready but I'm glad the white works because I think it would look odd black. I'll just have to see how it looks over time but I think it will just look better as it ages. I need to wax the thing and maybe the truck will actually look white
Rat,
Yup, its just lattice from home depot! $5 or plus some cut off wheels for the dremmel and your set. One thing I noticed when doing it is when your cutting the places to help it bend, its better to not cut all the way to the front, but to keep a little there other wise it wants to bend too much. You should understand what I'm talking about when you get there, if not pm me or I can draw a diagram or something...
