3.4 V6 into '91 2nd gen

So I'm surfin' around a bit ago, and I ran across a '91 4Runner that the owner has swapped in a 3.4 V6.

Not sure if any of you have seen this or not yet.

I was thinking, finally, a 2nd gen writeup! But alas...NOOOOOO! ARGH....

Gotta keep watching that page for his writeup though.

Yeah, the sad thing is a bunch of punks ripped him off of his tools.
Maybe they were trolls on the forum where he was posting his progress on it

I wonder how much participation we would get if we take up a collection for the guy? Post it on all the toyota boards. I mean this would be one of the first guys to post a writeup about the 3.4L swap.

Was it just his tools that got stolen? Or, did they steal parts to complete the swap?

Man one of these days I'd like to catch somebody tryin' to steal something of mine..that would be the day.

hmmmm i think that id really lean towards the 7MGTE supra turbo engine swap over the 3.4L.

Although f2uning did get 20lbs of boost into the 5vze with some 700+hp, im thinking the supra engine would be more reliable at that level of boost....

That DOES suck that his tools got jacked. I hope they catch the SOB's, crush their balls with a pair of pliers, and recover all of the tools.... I HATE theifs with a passion.

I'm very surprised how small the 5vze looks in that engine compartment. Look at all the extra space around it. Shows how wasteful our 3vze is. I eagerly await him doing a writeup but in the meantime all those pics of him tearing wiring harnesses apart has made me decide to use the harness that Off Road Solutions has. What a nightmare to try and splice harnesses like he is doing.
