1984-1988 Available with 4x4 and automatic?
were any of the first gen runners or second gen trucks available between the 1984-1988 model year with and automatic and 4x4?

i was having a conversation with a friend today, and he said there were no automatic 4x4s in that era, but i think that they do exist... who is correct?

Well if I understand this question right...

I have a 1986 4Runner... four wheel drive... EFI... and its an auto...

All 1st gen 4runner are 4x4. I saw an 85 truck with and auto, EFI, and 4x4.

yup that was the question i was asking... if there were 4x4 and automatics availabe together in the same truck within the 84-88 time frame, runner or truck
