this is where I'm losing my forum virinity at for sure, look back about 10 pages or so to see how Zach first mounted his CB, I got a kick out of that. Sorry Zach but I couldn't help myself dude and best of luck to your build. I'm on page 30 so far and it seems like you've had a hell of a time with everyone from the junkyard and the toyo yard also

Speaking of building engines.... I've been rising around the idea of building another engine for this beasty. Thinking along the lines of a 20/22r hybrid but with a bit of a twist. I've got a few EFI setups and a RTE exhaust manifold.... 20/22rte has a wonderful sound to it.

Had my front axle apart this weekend for rebuild. After the last three blown birfields, I had some good maintenance to do. Trunions were held together with broken dreams, the inner seals wiped out, wiper steals leading like a sieve, and needless to say I needed to drop in the new birfs.
I ended up getting just the driver side done yesterday because I ran into a slight problem. When I broke my left side down I noticed some large debris on the inside of the long tube. I ended up having to pull the 3rd to clear out. So while the third was out I did a visual inspection of it to make sure everything was good. Which in fact it was not... The Aussie center pin keeper had backed out, collided with the bearing cap and was bent at a 45* angle.

So after 3 hardware stores, 1 parts house, and a trip to work I found something that would work. My buddy found the shank end of a broken reamer in his tool box at the CNC shop we work at. It was slightly bigger than the original but that war what I wanted because I didn't want this problem again. So we pounded it in and staked it so that there was no chance of another back out.

So I've still got the short side to finish up this week along with a few other big things to be ready for the Strictly Crawlers show on Saturday and some carnage action on Sunday.

So I didn't end up getting that diamond t that I posted a while back. But I DID end up buying this for my birthday. It's a 39 Chevy. Along with it I bought a Cummins 855 300 small cam and a 7 speed Eaton transmission.
