From: Bryan Tx,
I just got back in. Had a blast! I can't find my camera at the moment.(Grrr) I hope as I unpack it will turn up but I have a felling that it was lost on the trail on last nights midnight run. (It was a brand new camera!) I'll give a better report soon. Follow this link to TOR, these are the guys I wheel with. Great guys (clowns) over there, plenty of pics and videos up already

http://toyotaoff-road.com/threads/62...15-17th/page27

It was a hell of a party, the most fun I've had with my clothes on in a long time.

I read it just to see the carnage report. Na was looking forward to some photos from Rob, but none there except for the dented door. Maybe because he lost his camera?

Watched the Videos of you Wheeling in front of the black taco with the SWEET door mount thingymadoer! lol..

So sorry to hear about the door, pitman, cam, ....hmmm, lots of other stuff.... Did the pitman tweakage possible cause a leak in the power steering gear box? EEEK!

Man, really glad you got away and had fun, Rob!!! We work hard and care for the lil bittles, etc., ...and we should PLAY HARD TOO! hahaha. Of course....that doesn't mean I would shake off a deal like Ian got on that pop up! Grrr! lol. Jk, VERY happy for him.

Man, that looked like a great time, and I REALLY, REALLY appreciate the Orig. Singer Version of Iron Maiden/Killers, and my favorite song at that! DANG that was an INSTANT flashback for me, man! Time to start lookin for that on the web! hahaha.

Awesome, man, .........except for the carnage! lol.

Have a nice days rest, man...

Mark

From: Bryan Tx,
lol, it's cool guys. I'm not worried about the damage. I already have a spare set of doors I was going to make half doors out of, so I just need to change my plan and make half doors out of my current ones. Easy fix and I still have 2 full sets of doors. I'll have to look into the possible pitman arm problem, that is one of the things I have never replaced so it very well could use a new one. Never found my camera so no pics to post.

Damn it Rob, I wouldn't have gone out and dented mine if I knew you had two extra doors already.. I wanted to be cool like you.

From: Bryan Tx,
^ you are almost as cool as me Sam, just keep practicing, had a great time with you guys man.

Here is a pic of my door with one of my buddies stinking up the shot.

here is a vid of how it happened, right at the end of the vid you can see the rear end kick out like 3 feet. Happened really fast. I was trying to be careful but it happens. Same thing happened to Samster, same door, same rock, same problem.

Hey Rob, .... Yeah, I was thinking, ...wait, that's not Rob! lol.... Is that Sean? I was reading the thread over there and saw him commenting.... Thought it said Sean is the Black Taco..... anywhooooooooooo, lol....

Oh, I knew it wouldn't stress ya too much, .....still stinks, haha. Far as the pitman thing I mentioned..... I'm not sure replacing the pitman would fix the problem if it's leaking out of the Gear Rod seal on the bottom. Just wondering if you racked the pitman good enough, maybe it pushed on the rod it's mounted on good enough and forced the seal to tweak and now leak? You can just clean it up and cruise it around and see if some working of the wheel brings some fluid out underneath. I mention this because I just had to replace my gearbox......that never took a hit and never leaked, ....yet took a dump do to my using Steering Fluid and, well, 258K of never flushing it or anything. lol. And, well, if that was my issue(your sitch).... I would wanna rule that out first, because it's a bigger job and you'd probably wanna replace a couple hoses, the o-ring on the pump, etc., while you're at it. IF, of course, that happened. .........Just curious I guess...and REALLY hope it's not that for the sake of saving you the PITA job, lol.

Really can't wait to take a couple trips this summer! You definitely got me motivated! lol.

PS> Did you guys CAMP somewhere up there and if so, any pics of that site?

From: Bryan Tx,
Well guys, my camera has not turned up. I remember the last time I had it but that was on the trail so there is no telling. Looks like I am SOL so I just ordered a new one from Amazon, really stinks since I had already taken a bunch of good pics.

We know you had a great time out there. Sorry to hear about the carnage. Sounds like you are going to have to add to the list a little. Nothing you cant handle.

Other then the leak and camera, sounds like the 4Runner did great. Glad you didnt have a major break down on the first day. The other breaks is just the part of wheeling, so should give you some cofidence in it on your next trip.
