Rob, sliders look awesome!! My 4xi sliders are sitting in my garage, waiting to go on. Do you remember how much you cut off the legs? I am trying to figure out how far out to mount mine.
And what did you paint em with? They look close to the sheen I got with "zero rust" paint. supposed to be like por-15 in a can. almost looks like powdercoat. I'm sure it'll still chip, but it should hold up better to salt spray in the winter.

Thanks Kiyo, I am not sure how much I cut them because they came to me usedwith the legs already welded to the slider. I cut them off of my buddies single cab Taco right before he traded it in. Luckly they worked out great since all of the legs where still too long, I just had to come up with the 4" x 4" x 1/4" plates and the angle braces. I can get some measurements for you though, the front leg is the tricky one because the frame angles in towards the front like this / \.

Hey Rob.. the sliders look great. Looks like you got alot done. That was a good size list. With job, family and the 500 other things that come up along the way, it is a wonder any of us are able to get anything done. You got a lot accomplished and looks like you will be able to go on your run. There is alway something else to be done, but that can wait. Its ready so that is all that matters.
Great job and hope you have a great time on the trail.

I'm not sure what is going on with the pics. I assume that Photobucket will have them up again soon. It says they are doing some maintinence? I sure hope they get them back up, every pic in this thread is down at the moment.

Wow man, I left for a few days and PAPOWWWWWWWWW! lol. Looks great, but I WANNA SEE THE WHOLE TRUCK, man! lol..... I mean, ..."see the whole truck W/SLIDERS" now installed, ya know?
That's great, sounds like you're almost done with everything. How those gears feel??? You'll be a climbing foo! lol.
PS> Are you driving the truck to the destination?..... not towing it?

There will be plenty of pics up next week. The 4runner is on my trailer now and I am heading out at 7:30 am tomorrow. It's a 3-1/2 hour drive so no go on driving the 4runner there and back, I'd hate to break something on the trail and be stuck out. Plus I am so comfortable driving my Tacoma for the distance, it pulls the trailer great! Just gets poor mileage, with all of my gear + trailer + 4runner I figure it's at least a 6k pound load. I'll be lucky to get 12 mpg's average for the trip. I'm headed out for the hill country so it's going to be a nice drive. Hopefully my friends will get some good videos of me that I can post. Plenty of pics of course! Wish me luck guys, I'll report back Sunday eve or Monday morning.

Good luck on your trip. You had a workout getting the runner up and going. Sometimes it looked like everything was against you on getting it done, but it worked out. Between time and waiting for parts. Hope you have a great time.
