Pissed off because my cat was cutout last night and I have to get one for 3x more money because california cats have special numbers on them even though it does exactly the same thing. I'm going to weld hardened steel rods all over this new one.

Well I finally got my cat back in my truck. I installed a cat lock on it so that it will hopefully be hard enough to steal that it won't be worth it anymore.

wow, how annoying is that!? I like your idea of making it more difficult to be stolen!

I went through the whole thread quickly, I had been following it through the months. I didn't see a recent picture of your rig that shows your rock sliders. I have been looking into which sliders I want, and trail gear has the right price... but I don't think the design is best out there for full protection....? what's your experience?

Hey Gevo, I have the rocksliders in my garage but haven't welded them on yet. I bought the 4RUNNER length ones assuming that they would fit most of the production years of the runners but they only fit 1st gen runners so rather than pay to ship them back and pay for longer ones I sent them an email asking them to take 4Runner off that ad and just sell them by length. Then I cut mine and extended them myself. For the price you can't beat them only Dom sliders I have found for the price. The nicer ones run 400 + bucks I can destroy 2 sets of these and still not be there and they will do the job I really doubt I will destroy them. I will mount them soon though that is my next project.

The auto trans is still working fine but I don't want it anymore. I picked up this R150F with Tcase crossmember drive shafts and clutch pedals with all the hydraulics.

You are going to love that tranny. Have you thought about a bud built cross member to go with it?

Yeah I plan on doing a single geared Tcase with 4.7 gears and probably crossmember as well budget permitting.

Lockable cargo box

I am still working on the transmission swap but in the mean time I built this lockable cargo box. It's all 3/4 prefinished maple plywood with 300lb kv slides.

Just got my Trail Gear V6 to 4cyl geared transfer case adapter plate. Dual cases would be nice but I'm just planning one single case 4.7:1 low range

Put some foam in there and you would have a very nice locking custom tool box. Might look at doing something like that when I finally get off my butt and finish my 3.4 swap. Finally getting back to work on it.
