so i finally got the half doors done, at least good enough so that i can run them. i love the doors. the airflow is awesome, maybe a little cold at 11 at night, cruising at 70 mph lol but the looks i get is priceless.

i love this stuff, there i almost no need to really prep, dont have to scuff the surface. you just clean and spray on. if you dont like it then you just peel it off and theres chrome right there... its like witch craft or something lol

Your half doors turned out sick, I want some SOoo bad! Maybe next year, too many projects, lol. Is that plasti dip pretty durable? I have some old aluminum Centerlines on my offroad trailer project that need to be black, and I hate prep work, lol.

Haha thankyou sir. I love them. Just gotta do some refining on the quick door hinges.

Idk... I've heard that is but also heard that it's not. A friend is going to run these on his Toyota so well see how they hold up and I'll report back

Well it's been awhile, got a couple updates. Got a bikini top for the runner so I've been running it when it gets a little warm

Turns out that with half doors and a bikini top, it'll get a little wet inside when it rains. Runner looked good though, running the plasti dipped wheels on it

A little update, I have a list of things I need to get done before the snow comes. To start it, I was given a vice, and I had a old drop hitch that I acquired awhile back, it was pretty sketchy so I never wanted to use it for its real purpose. I decided to make a hitch mount vice for the runner...

I've also had as winch mounted, but it was never wired, I'm also needing a switch for engaging the elocker when it gets installed. So I came up with a replica 12voltguy switch panel

Nice work on the vice! I had the same idea, I don't have a work bench and need somewhere to mount the vice from time to time when I need to use it. Now that I see how well yours turned out maybe I can get motivated!

I like your switch panel too, that's a good idea using the space where the ashtray goes, I'm already missing the ashtray, might have to steal your idea!

Thanks! I'm the same way lol Im going to make the mount for inside so it keeps it up and then I can use it for small things inside the runner.

I wad the same way! Never had the ashtray or bracketry since owning it lol I made it from a old license plate, I was going to paint it but I like the brushed aluminum look it has

I also got it 're geared with 488s, they seemed to help with the driving around town but I still wish the 7m had a little more low end torque

I used some shielded wire to help it look clean and came down through one of the drain plugs in the floor, I followed frame rail and brake lines getting it to the locker to try and blend in

While I was at it, I did a rear ubolt flip kit and 1.5 inch wheel spacers all the way around. I have no pics but I put a lock rite ratchet locker in the front of the runner, I had no idea that they were so loud!

yea i have lol the motor is holding up decent. im on my second one and its starting to get a little tired. i think i got some tps problem going on being its idling funny now and feels extra weak. i think my next engine is probably going to be a supercharged chevy 4.3, only because of how cheap they are.

So are you familiar with these engines at all? I don't know a whole lot about them but mines acting wonky... When it's cold out it has a surging/bouncing idle that I was thinking was a cold start injector. Well here recently it has felt like it has less power and that idle problem is happening when it's warm also... To the point where the idle drops so low when I shift or something that it dies or hesitates if I give it more gas... Any ideas?
