I ordered that $95 radiator. Lets hope it works without too many modifications. Supposed to be here between the 27th and 4th. And lets hope it stays together. I don't normally lie ordering expensive parts over the net with no way to return them if they fail on warranty.

I can take pics of the regulator if ya want. I didn't take any sine I thought this was a relatively straightforward removal / install until I was going to "fix" it. But what I wanted to do isn't gonna work with broken teeth.

I wonder if I can find that thread of what I was gonna do to "fix" it.
That didn't take long. : https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f116...ap-fix-229701/

I just got a killer idea For fog lights on my truck. Hit me by accident while chanign a tiail light socket in the BMW. I have these "spare" headlights which were the originals to the BMW laying around collecting dust. Thought about putting the highbeam round bulbs into the center of my grill. Only drawback would be that I would have to move the "TOYOTA" symbol or remove it altogether.
I've seen this done on the Satoshi grill mod on the newer 4runners before. Forget who did it. If those who aren't familiar or can't understand what I am talking about, think of the newest Mustangs with the fog lights in the grills.
By doing so this should give me a hell of alot of light output as I know how much light I get from the BMW high beam's.
EDIT: found it. https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f2/s...ogress-235131/

These aren't mine, but this is what I would be working with. I'd be using the ones without the projector.

The actual bulb itself looks like this:
Left.............................................. .................................................. ..Right

Jesus, I didn't even start it yet. I don't even know how possible this is gonna be. And I basically commandeered it from traxxi2003.
I haven't seen anyone do it on this gen truck though.

I'm just curious, ....can you mount them on an apparatus that you install on top of the bumper, negating the need to cut out the grill? I guess it wouldn't matter that much, if that's something you'd really want for good(like it sounds as though you do). Just ......eeek, lol. I know, Grills are dime a dozen..... I think it would look sick, the more I think about it.
Only thing is.... YOU ALREADY stuff that front end with mud, often, lol... Wont stuffing these up there pull even more air away from cooling? Again, just curious.

Yeah not sure on that cooling part, but if I end up going the electric fan route, I won't have to worry about that too much. If I end up building a shroud around this radiator, mud on the back side won't be a problem. And since most of my cooling issues related to mud is in slow moving fashion not much air is moving through the rad anyway. At least that's my opinion on it.
With the way these particular lights are, making a mount or something on top of the bumper is just going to look a little odd.
Besides, before bog season rolls around, I am re-doing the fenderwells and "mud proofing" them anyway.
That's where most of the mud in my engine bay comes from.

This is only temporary till I decide if I like the output. Bulbs are 100w 5000k 9005 bulbs.
Looks better then I though it would considering these things are BWM e34 High beams.
And the fact they are "rednecked" to the bumper.

B, I really like that... it looks good. They're just recessed, partially, into those cut outs in the bumper, eh? Are you still going to cut out the grill for this? Or, leave them there? Only thing I don't like with the grill idea is the loss of integrity thereafter in the grill itself... Might rattle or just be more likely to split in other spots... (I'm really just curious on your thoughts of how to approach that portion of the 'cons' of doing them in the grill), lol.
They blinding?
