The paint turned out pretty well. I have to say as ocd as i am im pleased with it for now. I saw a few spots i didnt like so much but at this point i will be ok with over looking 2 small flaws nobody will notice because they get covered in order to get seat time.

It wouldnt be me if i didnt try putting it together before its fully dry but i had to.
Clips for splash gaurds, headlights and the hood prop were installed and you can see them in a few pics. I didnt F it up tho!!

Rust in the taped area. Its was surface but i got 2 tiny holes when i hit it with the wire wheel so its getting that much cut out.

Inside.

I had caught it before i scrapped the old bed and cut out that section but i had a roll bar at one point so i have some holes to weld up.

Bobbed and ready to get the body work done after i fix the 2 small spots. Doors and cab should be ready to be blocked after the weekend and maybe my fenders will come tomorrow.

Enjoy the pics guys..Im high and buried the maxima in a 4 foot snow drift in the driveway of the shop today so im a bit tired and pretty high from painting and spacing out to wear the mask that was hanging around my neck...DOH!

Haha dumbass. And you swore you weren't going to do that on this build, too.

Looks good, can't wait to see the Super White in the sun.

In the sun the paint is so bright. If you stare at it for a while it looks like you just stared in to the snow on a sunny day.

Bodywork is going really well this weekend. Ike, nate and I cranked on it from 5-1:30 yesterday and im going up to do some work today.

Yesterday i prepped the rest of the cab minus the jams so all thats left is that and the doors and make sure everything lines up still. After that i can paint it. Nate said hed get after the drivers flare a bit more and the patch pannel infront of the flare. So with a busy week at the shop i will have it painted by next week and have the Turbo truck gone, the green one finished...it runs but the PO hacked a bunch of vacume and timing stuff we will need to fine tune and another parts truck im pulling in tomorrow.

The wheels on the 2wd are stockers. They are 5lug. My wheels on the 4x4 are American Racing outlawII's. The shifters fit because they dont thread in they have a set screw and are roughly the same size as the Zuk. I ran the spider and the 4wheel pattern one for a few years.

Locking Center Console

Picked up the truck when i was 13. First ever truck. It was wrecked so i got to fix it. Sold it to my mom who then trashed it and gave it to my brother. Made a trade and wound up with it. Sold and purchased the truck now 2 times after that. Im keeping it now.

So heres what it looked like when i picked it up. Thrown rod(still ran after sitting 3 years)

Swapped in a new motor and cleaned up the interior.

Drove it around on the 31's and said i have had enough...
Lifted it

Wrecked it

fixed it

made some changes, Locked it and wheeled it.

Wound up with it looking wrecked.

Bobbed a foot out of the bed so its now only a 6foot bed.

flopped it(planned for the most part.)

So with the body being 100 finished off for the long term goals with the truck im starting over.

New cab. Fenders will be replaced with new fenders because both were damaged.

New bed. Almost rust free bobbed a foot.
Short bed topper for camping.

SAS

Axles back a bit farther now.

playing in the shop.

So heres my mod list for the next month+
Already have Trail gear SAS kit with 14inch hoops and shocks. 4inch leafs and a classic rear kit with 5inch leafs and 2 sizes of shackles. One for the can back and one for the topper. Finish everything up(pretty close set pinion angle and hang the shackles up front. Rebuild axle)

Gears-5:29's for both axles.

Dual cases-4.7 and 2.26(I think thats right) cases

Finish the body and paint. The truck will be Super white off the new tundra/ Highlander.

Kill all the road noise. in the cab
New carpet, grill, finish my HID fogs to match the bi xenon i did in the headlights.

Tire mount on rear bumper and a front bumper with winch. Trail gear sliders mounted.

Clean the frame of paint and rust and recoat in POR15 or chassis saver.

Put the truck back together and wheel!

Where did you get the locking center console? By the way nice build!

The console came from walmart. They had gray and tan last time i was there.

I may sell the grant but i want to make sure i have a steering wheel that works in the truck before then.
