OK latest update. The intermittent starting issue was a connection under the passenger seat/carpet. Was corroded.. That fixed it. I should have know that. Instead I had a shop find it. He replaced the fuel pump first, I picked it up and drove home. Thought that was the end of it. nope, next day no start...... back to the shop and he found wire issue.... Then my tank leaked, back to shop n he replaced tank. Napa Auto, Spectra Premium TO10B.
OK sports fans I am now in NH as of March 2020. I shipped the PU and 4Runner, drove the Corolla. It took me 6 days to drive. Shipping about 2 weeks. I was very anxious about the whole thing. Driver did good, I texted him nightly. He said only 1 instance of a bit of rain. NH live free or die. And no smog. They are covered in a car port and will see no rain, and no salt or snow next winter. Leaving Napa. 3 / 2020 Arriving NH 2 / 2020 Snug Snugger
Next phase coming soon. I purchased 2 ARB air lockers and an ARB air compressor.....I pick them up on the 20th, July. I have a shop lined up to install 1 locker. They will let me view the install. I will attempt the other install myself. Wish me luck. Pics soon.
I just binge read this whole thread. It was very inspiring as I am putting together a budget for an SAS on my 88 pickup. I don't really have any welding or fab skills so I will have to get some help on that but I see there are plenty of opportunities to turn some wrenches and run a grinder. Thanks for the good info!
I wish you luck. At the start of the build I had just started welding school. I welded the SAS outside with NR 211 Flux core.
