I think the alternator is going bad on the truck, the check engine light came on and it started running crappy also the brake and battery lights were flashing, so i bought a new battery, gonna put it in tomorrow to see if that does the trick.

Shouldn have started chucking money at it... Check all the wires to the alternator and battery first... Check all your grounds... Then pull the alternator and have it checked... If it's bad, replace the brushes for 30 bucks and 2 hours of work... The battery can take being fully drained 2-3 times before it won't hold a charge anymore...
Good luck figuring it out!

mfwimg82, i gave you a call yesterday but my phone has been acting up lately so it may not have gone through. I am picking up a door for the truck tomorrow so it looks like this weekend would be the earliest i could come to get the truck painted.

If you still have an original alternator DO NOT give it up as a core for a remanufactered one from the parts store. Your Asin alt is far superiour, trust me. either take it to an alternator repair shop or buy the parts you need on-line & fix it your self. Only 2 things can go wrong, either brushes are worn out or the voltage regulator is fried. Cheaper & better to fix yours.
