where are you mounting it.
i was going to get the smaller 1 gallon, and mount the tank under the truck and the compressor inside the bed wall.

oh yeah I forgot about my HF one that is similar to that. There is no way in heck I am gonna be able to run mine from my truck. That's too much current to run. That thing looks pretty cool though.

I'd still need like a 1500-2000W inverter plus the alt

3.4 cfm is impressive. top-of-the-line viair compressors don't even match that

Not sure where i'm going to mount it. I wouldn't mount it inside the bed wall, it needs to stay cool, constricting it that much, you run the risk of overheating it. And i wouldn't put the tank under the truck, one little rock and you're outta luck. I know when i do mount it, i am going to put little rubber feet under it so it absorbs shock.

Ah that's a shame.

Yeah ToyoTech559 has the slightly smaller version and he LOVES his aside the small size so i figure I'd grab the bigger one! He helped me figure out which one to grab. This one is better than the ARB one, its more powerful, pulls less amps and has a 100% duty cycle at a higher PSI!

Yukon zip locker is cheaper, same idea as arb.
Engine heat kills compressors, but I was thinking I would use some of my perforated aluminum for ventation.
I think the tank underthe truck is doable, with skid plate or thought out location. They are steel tanks.....right?

I'll look into the Yukon, thanks RB!

I forgot you had that perforated alum. I'd still keep a close eye on it to make sure she's staying cool? Maybe wire in a 12V fan?? You know like a little fan they put in welders and such.

The tank underneath is doable if you tuck it up inside the frame, make sure its the last thing to get hit if you bottom out.

I wouldn't. It gets too hot in there and there isn't tons of space. Not to mention the front is the most likely place to get hit in a crash.

My plan is to connect it directly to the battery, after a circuit breaker then fuse, so i can activate it with a switch, and make it easier to tie an air-locking-diff into later.
I already have the power run to my OBA location in the rear.
