Damn you had to cut a ton out of that thing! Looks good, but I'm definitely glad I didn't have to go that route haha.

Just curious if any of you had seen these "panel fasteners" I really like the look and I think if I ever have to loose the stock hood latch these might be the route I take.

Yeah I ended up cutting alot, I kinda crossed the point of no return, got to make it work now, I think once I add the 1" tubing support to tie the two halves of the core support back together and get that bolted in and everything painted, I'll be happy with it. Glad your setup is working good for you, I never had very good results with pusher fans, but yours must be working good, especially in the Reno summers!

Those panel fasteners look pretty cool.

radiator

The best thing to do is order an aftermarket radiator for a v8 ford! The one I put in mine is 21"w by 18.5"tall three core radiator and just made my own mounts! I am running a single 14" fan and it keeps it cool!

A 351 would be pretty sweet. I am also using stock exhaust manifolds on mine.

I'm also running an aftermarket Ford V8 radiator, I just went wider and shorter so I could push it forward and above the frame crossmember.

Got a peice of 1" square tubing for the core support.

Did a little painting, not an exact match, but I think it looks better. Painted the sports that the hood pins mount to.

I had to cut a notch in the 1" square tubing so that it would clear the nipple on the radiator that goes to the overflow. Then I welded in a peice of round tubing cut in half to fill it in.

Yeah, it will clear, I had it installed last week and had to do some slight trimming on the inside, but nothing major, it doesn't show from the outside. Here's a couple pics: (I still need to replace my broken passenger side headlight bezel from when I hit that turkey, lol.)

Well, I'm still not done, lol. I pretty much just have it mocked into place, made sure it clears everything and that the grille still fits. Now I need to fab some mounting brackets. I'm pretty sure the universal silicone radiator hose kit I bought is going to work, I still need to mock up the hoses and make sure. I'm off work tomorrow and Tuesday, so hope to finish the install over my weekend. Then I still need to replace the timing chain, its neverending, lol.

Did not understand the reason for mock up in the younger years but do now. Looks like it is coming togther for you. With the radiator easily removable doing a timing chain on yours will be easy. You could almost do from the Lazy Boy chair. That bending over from the top gets a little rough on the back.

Ha, ha, Terry, the Lazy boy chair comment cracked me up! I hope to start on the timing chain soon, and you're right, it should be a whole lot easier being able to quickly remove the radiator, and having the extra room to work on it.

Yeah more work than I anticipated, but it's no fun having to worry about overheating!

I GOT MY NEW KO2's!!!

Well I've been busy lately, and almost forgot about the tires I had won from BFG's Rocks to Riches contest! I sent them an email last week, they responded and told me that they wouldn't have a 35x12.50x15 tire size released until October, so I changed my size to 35x12.50x17's, and UPS delivered them yesterday!!!

Now I just need to get some wheels. I probably will get the same style rims that are currently on my 4runner, my old tires and wheels are going on my Offroad trailer.

Nice man! I'm running the KO2s on my Tacoma and have nothing but great things to say about them, I've ran them on the rocks, high speed in the desert, aired down and in the mud. Only time I've had any issue was in some super slick mud on a sidehill, but the only thing that could have really helped would have been some very aggressive mud terrains with large voids to keep from plugging up at all.
