Hey racerflea. Yeah I hope so, the clearances on the fans is really tight, I might get a little belt slap on one side from the fan belt, LOL... at this point all I can do is try it and see if it will work, I am hoping that the fans are large enough and move enough air to keep it cool.

I thought I'd make a list of stuff that still needs to be done, mainly to help me remember what's left to do, LOL.

1. Still waiting on throwout and pilot bearings, should have shipped yesterday, then I can finally get the clutch in
2. Finish hooking up fuel lines and install skid plate for gas tank, route rubber fuel line to the fuel pump and up to the carb
3. Swap the throttle cable off the 85'
4. Still need to grind a little off my calipers (I could grind some off the knuckles, but I'm to scared I'll mess up) and drill out the mounting holes and get new bolts to mount the calipers, hook up the brake lines, bleed the brakes.
5. After I get the clutch in and the motor in for the last time I'll get the starter, slave cylinder, and miscellaneous hoses hooked up.
6. Still need front shocks, and to weld in my shock hoops.
7. Need to finish the exhaust
8. I need to Fab up some brackets for the PS pump
9. Modify/lengthen front driveline
10. Wire up t-stat/relay for electric fans
I'm sure I'm forgetting some stuff, I'll edit And update as I go.

Looks like the fan issue got worked out, great job. Having a list will really help out. I can have 10 things on my mind and get out in the shop and only think of 2. Think you will be surprised at how it can help on the progress. I am always going back and updating mine.

Thanks Terry, yeah I think the list will help me out a lot, I've already updated and added a couple things, LOL.

Well today I figured out why my gas tank was given me so much problems. I went to put on the skid plate and it wouldn't fit right, so I new I had to have done something wrong. Come to find out I had put that little bracket on the wrong end of the tank! Its amazing how quickly you can forget how to put something back together, LOL. I traded a guy some parts today, so I had to push the runner out of the way, couldn't help but snap a poser pic, LOL.

My father-in-law picked up a engine hoist off CL today (it ended up only being a few blocks from my house) and he is going to store it at my house so I wont have to keep borrowing my friends!

Well, I got a delivery this morning

I got my pilot and throwout bearings from NWOR!!! Actually I guess its a pilot bushing, lol.

According to their directions I need to soak the pilot bushing in oil for 24 hrs before I install it, and that's the only lubrication required. Unfortunately I have to help my bro-in-law move, so I probably wont get started on this till next week.

I know, I can't wait to start driving this thing! I picked up some oil, for the bushing, also got some 2" exhaust collector gaskets so I can start on the exhaust after I get the clutch done, I hope all the little stuff goes smoothly so I can get this thing going next week!

Those little things can take as long as the big things. Alot of times when the funds are low for the week, that is a good time to do them. They make a big difference when all done up and most of the time dont cost anything.

Hope next week treats you well.

Your build has come a long ways as well. I think it's cool you put in a v8. I wish mine had that. I'm just gonna boost mine for some extra towing power when I tow the atv's. Nice work.

Thanks guys! I got to work on the runner today. I pulled the motor back out, got the clutch and new throwout bearing and pilot bushing put in and then put the motor back in. It was a tight fit with the additional length of the clutch on there, but it really helped that I had trimmed some of the core support, it gave me a little more room. Also I put all the bellhousing bolts in (after droping the tranny down just enough to get them in the holes) because once the tranny is in place there isn't enough space between the firewall and the bellhousing to get the long bolts in. Anyway now that that's out of the way the next biggest thing is the exhaust, probably start on it tomorrow.

I'm seriously considering it...well maybe just a quick pass down the street and back, I don't think the neighbors would mind either, lol.
