I hear you on the heat. I would still rather deal with heat then cold. It only takes 15 minutes for me to have my shirt dripping wet with this heat. Still catching up on your thread but looks like you are making some progress.

Look wow, manual transmission on a bigger hole for the shifter...

Also got the brake and clutch paddles out of the 87 and the clutch lines, slave unit, now have to make holes to the firewall on the runner, install everything to get it to transmission to work..man this is getting better every day

Everyday I'm shufflin' shufflin' shufflin'

Worked on the 4runner yesterday, was not a hot one, but didn't get much done. Remove all on the clutch parts and brake/clutch assemble from the 87, cleaned and painted the brake/clutch assemble, I know no one will see it, but it had surface rust and I wanted it to look better even if no one sees it...lol. Also look at what bumper mods I would like to do, using parts laying around the yard. Like to get it finished soon. had some front brake issues with the F-350 and looks like ball joints need to be replaced, always something other than the toys to work on.....

I always liked them those. I am getting ready to put one Mistys truck and would like to eventually get one for each of my projects. For all of the deer we have around here, and if I ever struck one, am hoping it prevets alot of damage.

For looks, I've never been a fan of those. That one in particular looks too big and goofy.

As for protection, it might be worth while to have.

It just depends on if you're going for looks or protection.

Kinda looks like it stands higher then your hood in this picture. Is it supposed to be that high? I know my black one sits just under the hood. I like how mine looks. I'm sure if you cleaned that rust up and repainted it it probably wouldn't look too bad.

I am not a fan of that look. And if its fender mounted then all the more leverage to bend the fender its mounted to.

I think certain brands of those look ok.... And if they're the right size... But for a permanent thing you're gonna keep on that beast? Nah.... Like mentioned, HOLY HUGE GRILL GUARDS, BILL-MAN! hehe... Suburban, eh? Especially don't care for the chrome ones... But like I said, I've seen brushed stainless ones that are really beefy on RRovers, Blazers, etc., ... even with the light guards, they look ok(but they're a different style, having trouble explaining, lol.

I say hold out on that one... Just IMHO, of course.

Thanks for the feedback, it's not for looks, it's free and bigger than the 4runner but I think it will look good after its painted black.

The bumper is 2 inch out from the frame so the push bumper doesn't hit the hood.

Chef, you as always right, but the ones made for the 4runner couldn't stop a big fly with damage, the suburban will stop a train...ok a small train...

We got a lot of deer here in Delaware that had escaped from Pennsilvania, you know those big white tail type...

More later....thanks
