I know how you feel about having different heads off two motors, but as long as they are both the same and in good working order, it will be all good.
Hopefully this build get easier as time goes, Jeff

Well Terry, I know, my son is doing the build on the 4.3 so I only been taking it apart, he's got to put it together and the same with the tranny. But all is good just got to get it done, I miss driving my toy, it's been almost two years since its been on the road or off-road.....lol

I guess the hard part is wiring it up, I got the wire harness from the other toyota pickup that the 4.3 came from but the cable was cut, so solder time after the engine is the toy

Look what I found

Well after looking at all you guys w/4runners, I said my next project will be one..

my son found the above 22RE 4runner, it was hard not to pass up. $300.00

The 4runner has a blown automatic transmission, so I will change it to a manual, as I have 2 of them seating around.

I pickup the 4Runner Friday, will post more pic later...

Glad to hear you saved it from the crusher. Really enjoy having the top off during the summer. Looking forward to your build on this. Congrats.

Thanks Terry, I look at yours and get a lot of ideas.
Pick it up early evening and got into the garage before the wife got home, it's a Yota thing she would not understand. Transmission is gone so it's a manual swap, pic tomorrow. I am a happy

The bed is 6 foot long, on the normal truck. Unless you got the long bed. I took 12 inches off from the rear section, that should work for you, I'll post more picture of the Bobed bed later.....
