RMP8080 1987 Pickup Build-Up Thread
I'm starting a Build-Up Thread on my 1987 Toyota, I've already at the midpoint but I have a lot of work to complete. First I would like to thank all of the other Build-Up Threads on this site. Got a lot of ideas and information from a great bunch of people. These are great vehicles.
My Toy came from being in a barn for 12 years and I'm the 2nd owner.
Had a few mishaps with my Toyota.
Starting with the truck as I got it

The following are my plans for the Toy some I've have already done
Switch frames (87 to 85) now it's SAS.
BoB the Bed, remove 12 inches
1 1/2 inch Body lift
using the 6 inch suspenion lift from the 85
Rock Sliders (thanks DATIN)
Vented Brake Rotors
Front Bumper Winch Mount
U Bolt Flip kits
adding a 4.3 Chevy V6 engine (soon)
and a complete exo roll cage (no more body damage)

1 1/2 inch body lift in, 3 inch was too much, think it looks better this way.
Got a complete 4.3 V6 with a automatic and transfer case that come out of another Toyota pickup (bad Frame) two weeks ago, and started working on it today. Will post pictures of the V6 soon. V6 looks clean but thinking of re-building it. Need to save some money for parts.........

Ok the long awaited 4.3 V6 Chevy Engine...........
Now for the fun part, getting it together and putting it under the hood.
Funny it's still on the old rusted Toyota frame, cheap engine mount.......

Wow it's that time to get the V6 apart and see what needs to be replaced.
Going to change the water pump.
no water in the oil pan, good sign.
