Thanks Chef, the gauge is more impressive with power hooked up, and the lights on.

My truck's issue right now is that the engine won't idle since i have deleted the PAIR and EGR. I just made block-off plates, so everythng is reversible(but reverting back to get heer running feels like i have given up).
It seems like she has a vacuum leak, but even when i HAD vacuum leaks, she would idle, rough albeit.
I keep looking at the diagrams, and tracing my steps...everything seems correct.

Thx!
I am going to go home today, and hook it all back up. One side of me wants it to work the way it was. The other side wants it to behave the same....not idle.

I hear ya.... Hmmmmm... Seems like it would HAVE to be something related to your blocking off, etc., .....or just a HUGE vacuum leak as you said. I had a huge unmetered one at one point with the air intake tube(just forgot, lol) ....and it still ran, ...just a lil rich for a few minutes till buttoned up. But it started and ran, ya know? Yeah, RB, ..DON'T GIVE UP! You'll find it, no doubt! Gotta be a couple Guru's that just haven't stopped by here yet that might quickly say, "AH HAHHHHHH, that there's yer problem, silly", lol.

Maybe take a video of all your hook ups, block off mod, etc., and see if anyone spots something ....."OFF"?

Sure! lol.... I know those are common 'mod's' on the veezee...... I just hope it's something REALLY SILLY, ya know? I mean, .... I'd rather be embarrassed than stuck with a HUGE piece of drama, ya know? ... Man, very frustrating to be RIGHT THERE, .... yet kinda stuck, .... I feel for ya man!

there's also mouser.com

i use them a lot, as they have one of the best user interfaces i've seen. they even let you create "projects", allowing you to sort parts based on what you're using them for, and order them again if you need that set of components

got my R150F yesterday.

Still no start, so i polished the cluster lens(for the 5spd swap) to remove some scratches

Before:

After:

I used some hightlight polish that i had left over. In those shots i didn't clean the inside of the lens yet, nor did i spend a lot of time polishing it...probably could have gotten more scratches out.

Exclamation EGR & PAIR Delete / remove issue ... HELP

So i cannot figure out why the truck will not idle now. I would think that a vacuum leak from a small line would still start but idle poorly.
When i first bought the truck she idled and ran poorly. Some of this was due to sensors and vacuum hoses mixed up, or cracking.
First i replaced all the sensors throwing codes. She ran better. Then i replaced all the vacuum lines, then she ran even better. Then i adjusted the timing, now she runs smooth. Finally i did the big three ground upgrade, no noticeable difference (to me).

Mudhippy seems to post alot on this subject and i have read countless posts with really great information.

Now i decided to remove the EGR and PAIR, here are the links i used and followed:
https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f116...emoval-202562/
https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f116...l-3-0-a-76149/
https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f116.../#post50425720

Here are my pics, any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

birds eye of intake, blocked the big PAIR line with some dumb-dumb temporarily

Closer look at the intake(no leaks that i can hear or find

Plugged vacuum lines on the throttle body, i left the fuel regulator alone, but it is now running around 70psi!! (I replaced the regulator, to see if mine was bad, but same result) Seems like the regulator isn't purging excess pressure(gets signal from the brown VSV, which seems to work after using the multi-meter).

Block off plate, and capped vacuum line. I have cruise control and A/C on this truck. The other uncapped lines are from the TB.

Block offs for the EGR and PAIR on the exhaust manifold

I can reverse everything i have modified, but after semi hooking everything back to stock, i have the same symptoms, cranks but will not start without my foot feathering the throttle. And she will not idle at all. It seems like a vacuum leak, but i am at a lose, even tried the starter fluid idea, and no change...

Thanks guys for any help, insight

it looks like you need to lube your muffler bearings, and maybe clean out your decompression inverter. other than that, the static line cross-over should work

naw, i dunno. either a vacuum or post-afm intake leak. i have enough to worry about with the late-model cali-crap filled 22r-ec. what do you mean by "semi hooking" everything back up?

and... is that a... lug nut i see?

Yep that is a lug-nut, i plan to do an ISR mod, but need this sorted first...hence lugnut plug...haha.

semi-hooked up....reinstalled the pair and egr to all their original vacuum lines, just not the exhasut manifold, and no change.

you sure that lug nut isn't causing any issues? just a thought. i wonder if hooking it up all the way will help.

i forget- is your rig tagged as an antique?
