THanks! The instructions were great, very clear, and I bagged and labeled evrything when I took it apart, which made the rebuild that much easier. Well see if the internet was right when we go to see if everything lines up.
We lifted and test fit the case maybe 6 times through out the day. Parts of the tail housing of the r150f need to be trimmed, shifter hole needs to be opened up a little. Once was because this tab was hanging up the 2/4wd shift rail on the trans, even through it looks like it would work.
The hi/low shifter needs to be in the forward position, which doesnt allow me to go over into 3rd. We heat and bent the shifter a few times and got it to fit without the knob on the hi/low shifter. Im going to make a small plate that sits on top of the shifter where the knob would be and its just going to re locate the knob about 2" back.
Heres a shot of the plate and where I had to grind the tail housing of the r150f so the bolt heads will fit. Ill admit, I got a little carrier away on the right side, but there wasnt that much there to begin with. Haha.
The back of the case with the new tg mount. The internet was right, it all lines up. But the input and out put of the case are now about an inch back from stock. The front DS had plenty of slip so no big hot dog there, but in the back I needed to re drill holes and move the carrier bearing back. The case now sits almost entirely up above the skid plate, where as the v6 case hung down, so ill be modifying the skid part of the plate to be flatter.
Last thing, is its puking gear oil from somewhere. I havent really had time to look yet as Ive only driven it twice very quickly in the dark, but I hope I dont have to pull it back apart to re seal it.
Last notes, I did not hook up the spedo, as the truck is a electronic and the t case is cable. They make adapters, but I dont care its a trail rig. Same goes with the 4x4 light. The 2 wires on my sensor fell off long ago, and the new case only has 1 wire, so I just put a bolt in that hole.
Put the fender back on and took a few glam shots of my custom body work.
The gearing is great, but its not "marlin crawler low", but should work great for the bashing that I do. Crawl ratio before was around 40, now its 80. Adding another case to this combo would make it about 180.
I haven't checked your thread in a while, you've been busy! the t-case gears will be sweet! your brave tackling the t-case rebuild, gears scare me!
Regarding your shifter clearance issue, maybe a short throw kit is in order?

Looking good, really like the way this build has transformed over the years. those 4.7 gears look awesome, can't imagine the whiplash when you touch the pedal!

Next winter when the 4.3 goes in, I plan to switch to an auto, so I dont really want to put any money into the r150f that I dont need to, and I have it workable right now.
Gears were a piece of cake, nothing to be afraid of!

No need to be scared, T-case gears are not like rear diffs, its pretty straight forward, you don't even technically need a press, I did mine by hitting the bottom of the shaft on a board to unseat the bearing.

Dude, I was reading how you said the shifters hit. I was going to add, just wait till you get out there and start twisting, they will rip that trans tunnel wide open. I'm sure you've already realize this and just kept cutting to fit, but I'm just letting you know, in case you haven't pushed it hard, when that stuff starts twisting, it really works on the tunnel. obviously mine is all filled up and insulated and with the original trans shifter bezel and everything, so it's probably a little more of a pain in the ass because I want it to look perfect... Okay I want it to look decent. Haha. But it's just a heads up. I'm working on coming up with something that I can weld too the shifter plates so that I can turn this into a swing under instead of swing over triple shifter that I have. I love having it! Just need to get its wing I understand that I can drop the body lift! Lol

Oh shes been pushed and twisted plenty. I ripped a motor mount in half last spring, so now they are through bolted marlin style, which only allows so much twisting. And with this new t case, I have the TG heavy duty mount which will also cut down on twisting. I had to open up the tunnel hole anyway for the new case and twin sticks so I made sure to cut a little extra. No boot or bezel over the hole, just going to leave it open for simplicity. Plus I paid good money for the adapter plate, I want to look at it. Haha.
Got up into the woods a bit today, but it was slow going. Still about a foot and half of snow that starting to melt out, making it very soft. Headed back to deal with some engine oil leaks. Rear cam seal on the pass side and dist o ring should seal it up.

Made a little cart to move the 4.3 around on and pulled it out of the corner. Time to start causally working on this guy.
Made a few new climbs over the weekend, shooting to have a trail ride here mid may.
My strange no hot start is still lurking. Truck starts fine every time cold. And if I shut it off and turn it back on with in 5 min, starts no problem. But if is sits 10-20 min and I try it, It acts like its out of gas. But it is getting gas. Something wrong on the spark end. Has good plugs/wires with a new coil that I thought was the problem. Grounds are good. Its getting spark, but is weak. I need to get a volt meter on the igniter and distributor I guess.
