Steering

I have had the dom and the chevy tie rod ends with bungs, for a while now.I have just been to damn lazy, until today to jack the thing up and take the tires off so I could measure.I got it done, measured, cut and cleaned, went to start welding-out of wire.F***.Im dead in the water.Ok I got it up there and semi tightened into the steering arms, this is what it looks like.I think im damn lucky I changed the pinion angle otherwise my hi steer wouldnt have worked. It would have hit the springs.

Im going to stick to the IFS box for now.I have not figured out a hydro assist system that I feel will not be destroyed. In the mean time im going to upgrade the pump, put in a cooling system.A guy told me to cut the bottom off the pump reservoir and add the mid section of another resivour with a welder.I think im gonna keep it simple for now.

It's looking good man! Did you figure anything out on what hydraulic ram you're going to use?...I feel your pain on the welding wire, I got half of my front hanger welded up last night & ran out!

The piece with the washers is the pivot point. The two pieces of dom turn, the levers will come off the tops of these. Then I need to build arms that come down off both pieces of dom, that will have arms that attach to the pieces of dom that are slid over the ends of the shift rails.I have the basic plan I was just wondering if anyone had a better ideas.
