no i meant will it rub under flex, the reason i ask is cuz it looks like you ahve maybe 4 inches from your tire to the the finder, ( i know you cut it out ) but when its FLEXED completly even cut out the tire looooks like it will hit the finder rather quickly BUT thats me you should TAKE PICS MAN !! LOL of it flexed i mean!

The front has quite a bit less than 4" of flex upwards. The tire gets within about an inch to an inch and half of the fender with the arms on the bump stops.

With the links in the rear, the tire flexes towards the back of the fender, and at the top, it tucks inside nicely.

Only place it might rub is at the top of the fender, but I haven't had it out wheeling yet, and it will take quite a bit of pressure to flex it that far, if any.

whoa! the end?

i just found this thread today. i've been readin it for like the last few hrs, with the videos an' all of the field trips. how have i missed this so far?

WHAT AN EXCELLENT BUILD MAN! i remember you mentioning to me a while back that you had gone to a 3 link rear, but i didn't click on the thread link you posted. guess that's my mistake right there.

holy smokes, man. that's some damm fabulous work. i was stoked to read the whole thread at once, like it was an adventure novel! but here i am at the most current post, ugh! now i'm itchin' for the rest of the story!

keep up the good work, man! very cool to read yer real happy with how it's turning out.

oh hey only thing i thought was out of whack with your high speed custom handiwork: what's up with that gas cap sticking out there waiting to get smashed? you couldn't get one of them flat, flush mount dealies? it really just voids out all the coolness of a flat belly.

(hah! I'm KIDDING, your runner is becoming one of the baddest i've seen. looking forward to your front end mods on the way. not the SAS. zzz)

Yes, he could put longer springs in and lift the back more if he needed to (well, once he gets the panhard bar lowered a bit)

He linked the rear to have better control over the axle motion and to clean up all the place leaf springs have to get hung up on stuff - not necessarily for lift.

Thanks man! LOL. The gas cap is just a result of "hurry up and finish". I wanted to wheel. Flush mounting is one of those things on my list. Just not on the top of it!

And not to worry, more to come, just have to get cracking on it!

I could lift it more, but I don't think I will. If it rubs, I'll cut more sheet metal. Lower ride height is the goal. I could have gotten all the belly clearance by lifting the suspension, but It would have been too tall.

Yup. Got to increase the axle side separation of the links (should be in a few weeks here), and drop the panhard because I have a tiny bit of squat-steer, which is bugging me.

Little things, gotta tune stuff when its this different.

My set up, if you didn't have all the screw ups and do-overs that I did could be done for maybe 400 bucks, give or take.

TC has a very nice thread on here about his truck, which he did a 4 link on. He got things from poly performance, and was able to have minimal down time on the truck, I think just one or two weeks total, and his ran him around 1000.

Personally, I like Troy's set up better. Mine works well, but his definitely has a lot of advantages, one of which is no panhard bar.

4 link is better. But you absolutely have to move the gas tank to put in a 4link. You can do a 3 link without moving the tank.

Here is TC (Troy's) 4Link. https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f116...thread-153382/

I think the only reason we got it done so fast is cuz I did all the grinding and painting while he was at work. Seriously though Isaac, between you and Troy you guys can build anything!

Yup.

Been driving around all day in mine. Past quite a few cops.

Nice thing about the 4 cylinders of fury: Speeding tickets=extremely hard to get as truck barely makes speed limit

The 4 cylinders of fury!

Sad thing is, Troy's 6 cyl's are about the same to your 4 though!

Not quite. LOL!

I remember driving up I-70 climbing out of denver on a run. Troy passed me and pulled away with his 34x 9.5 Intercos while I was crawling a long with my 33" at's.

That's mostly because the sound waves from the tires were pushing everything away!
