No. Rode in the truck they were on, and decided that I'd seen enough. Not for me.

Very nice stance, low center of gravity with good clearance.

how'd you get those 12.5" tires to fit on the stock rims and clear everything, esp. your a-arms? wheel spacers?

Did all of your trimming work as hoped for? The flat belly and 35's puts quite the void between the ground and your truck, looks awesome.

Gotta check the rest of the thread there man!

Yup. Still have to finish the passenger a-arm, but the fenders all clear by over an inch easy. rears by about 2.

The void is good, especially since its smooth, so I get to slide over stuff. Sweetness.

Hows your steering holding up with 12.5s Axle, are you using the TC idler arm?

Steering is doing fine for now, since I'm not wheeling it. I have no doubt it will take a crap as soon as I go offroad.

I used to run a 33x12.5, and couldn't keep the steering together for more than one or two runs out. The stock steering is going away. No TC arm for me. It is bomber, but not in the cards as far as money goes. Building my own idler/center/tierods.

I'll post up when/if it ever gets done.

For those that are interested.

Clearance numbers:

19 3/4" to the lowest point of the belly pan. 20" at highest. Frame is 20 front-21" back (slopes up and to the back).

Front xmember/skid: 12"

Rear diff: 11 3/4"

For comparison to TC's rig:

And a few numbers from Volcom. He is going to measure out the numbers on his 84 for the diffs and lowest point on the belly. He has a Tral Gear suspension and yota axles under it.

How's your rear diff nearly 2" higher than TC's but your front xmember/skid only 1/4"?

Edit:Nevermind, I forgot you cut the bottom of that thing out too.

We're still trying to figure out all the numbers.

The front is explained by the variations in exact ride height of the suspension and the skid plate. Both of us are measuring to the bottom of our skids, which are 3/16" plate plus a bit. Mine hangs a touch lower than TC's bud built, as I reinforced everything with angle iron, and have a mount on the front xmember.

The rear stinks. If my diff was stock, in the stock location, I'd have 1.5" more clearance than him. With the shave, I took off 3/4" to an inch. However, when I rotated it backwards to get a good pinion angle and better driveshaft clearance, it lessened my actual clearance. Sucky.

Well, you lessened it in the one spot, but gained a bunch everywhere else ... and when I get of my ass and turn my axle, you'll be back to having more clearance!

how is your truck going to hold up under flex? like not that youd go around flexing but it looks like even tho those tires clear on pavement it looks like if you go over anything tooo big it will rub??? just curious

Not sure I follow you? Truck holds up fine under flex. I may not be a pro welder, but I'm fairly good. I can assure you the new rear suspension is quite beefy.

Its been flexed out quite a bunch. This truck is no pavement queen. Quite a few pics on the previous pages where its getting it on the rocks.

As for rubbing, you'll have to go back over the last few pages. I cut boatloads out of the front and rear fenders. Tires clear everything at full flex.

Well, its still not bad since the diff is smooth and 3/8" thick. It slides over rocks that it doesn't clear quite well.
