Glad your eye is ok!! Truck is coming together nicely. You running your swaybar? Also have you done any adjustments on the torsion bars?

I don't run a sway bar. I have one however I removed it. I haven't messed with the torsion bars. It seems like every time a turn a bolt it breaks on this truck. I guess that's because it sat in a yard for several years unmoved. I have been spraying the adjustment bolts every other day with PB blaster so hopefully they will be freed up.

I been doing a lot browsing here lately on bobbed beds. I'm highly considering bobbing the bed on this thing. I have all the tools needed and I'm a excellent welder so I do not think it will be hard to do

I been searching bumpers as well. I'd really like to build a set but I'm also considering a few tube bumpers that I've seen. Man I wish I had a tube bender

The main reason for the body lift is so that I have no rub at all. It also helps out on accessing certain bolts. One of these days I'd like to run a 35" tire and maybe a engine swap. So who knows. A SAS may come once I finish up my 87.

I like the idea of a bobbed bed. And if you have the welding skills, I would dive into the bumper project as well. You can pick up a simple hydraulic pipe bender from harbor freight. That's whAt I use to bend stuff for my rig.

Although I don't like body lifts, there's no denying that it gives you waaaaay more access to certain areas of the vehicle. My buddies reg cab that we put a SBc into has a body lift, and it has made things alot easier.

Harbor Freight huh.... I've seen those but been sketchy of buying one. Does it work as good as the description says.

Yeah. It's just a simple plain Jane bender. I made a set of sliders with it. And also made a top tube for a front bumper.

Again it's not great but it works.

It's this one.

I use it in the auto shop with my students. If I had the money I would definitely spring for something better and easier to use.

I didn't get to meet with the frame guy on Sunday. I'm assuming something came up on his end.

Today I replaced my funky antenna with the factory one. I also redid my exhaust.

As for the exhaust, I removed my cat and installed a 30 series flow master. It's a 2 1/4 inlet and dual 2" outlets. I just put 2 nice chrome turndowns on it. It has a really deep rumble but highway noise is a little loud. Shouldn't be to bad once I get tailpipes. I will post a video tomorrow.

Umm I kinda did my own little EGR mod. But yeah it's gone along with some other stuff. I'd love to remove half the other unused stuff but I do not know what needs to stay and what can go.

I live in WV. We do have a vehicle inspection however its a visual inspection. No rust holes, tires can't stick past fenders no more then 2". We have a hight limit. Not to bad though. As far as emissions, you can do whatcha want.

No I don't have any. I left the manifold tube on and welded it shut. I then cut the EGR in half. Welded it shut then bolted everything on.

Yeah the plates are just cleaner.

I was looking at getting the complete deal from LC. I would like to get completely desmogged and all prior to buying all the plates. My truck had factory air so I have all those plug-ins and vacuum lines that need disposed of along with a few other things. I'm just unsure were to start. I'm trying to clean as much junk out of my engine bay as possible. Keep in mind I have to replace the entire front clip. So what's not needed will be less to put back. And a header will be coming soon. I have the TriY headed on my carbed 87. I'm unsure of what I want for this one.

I love lc's stuff, cant afford it though. KelvinB made me plates. Plenty of threads on here that tell you what sensors n vac lines you dont need. Im in the process of doing it myself on my runner.
