kornhusker wizards 89 4runner build thread
#863

Had a misfortunate brake failure and ran into a brick building.went to stop and the brake pedal went to the floor,I tried slamming it into park and it just bounced off the parking pawl.no bueno.I'll be stripping off the messed up fender and bumper to access the damage underneath.

Gotta ride my scooter til I get the runner fixed.

Ouch!!! It doesn't look to bad and hopefully didn't do any major damage. I had a clutch slave cylinder to give out as I was pulling up to a building and almost did the same thing. Hope all turns out well for you.

No,I do know the rear brakes haven't been working,I don't know if that had to do with cutting that lpsv rod off when I lifted the rear.it seems like its a master cylinder problem to me.it would only go to the floor 1outta10 times and that 1 time ended up to be a bad situation.theyres also brake fluid residue around d the master cylinder but it never was low on fluid.

Yea if I'd a been 1spot to the right i would have taken out a huge glass window.on top of that the place was packed with people.should a seen the look on they're faces with those 33s kissing the bricks.I haven't touched it since that happened.my grandma passed away and I've been doing family things and taking care of her property.I'll tear into it soon enough.

Sorry about your misfortune buddy. I have the same kind of trouble with my master. I think I am going to change it now. Good thing you did not get hurt or worse, go through that glass window. Glad you could use the fender. Let me know if you need anything else. The body mount looks toe as if the core support might have shifted back at the top, causing the body mount to move towards the outside ring Of the frame mount.
I would imagine that you could rig up a chain and pull it straight.
Also, we can fix that fender. I have a slide hammer and some body filler left over. Make it look good again!

this is an old pic of this truck when it was in one piece, but i have this fender still. if it helps? its white.
The marks on it are from duct tape PO put on to hold something out of the way during engine rebuild awhile back.
pm me, ill get a better pic tomorrow.

Yea if I was in council bluffs I would be over there right now with a big hammer to give to the twins and a bunch of bondo and we could all have a heck of a time!!I think I'm gonna rig up a chunk of wood on the inside of the core support and rig up a chain and my come along and see what kinda carnage I can cause!!
I think the come along idea would work, or wrap a chain around a tree and to the core support and use the vehicle to pull it out. I've done that before
