Im doing a 4.3 swap. ls swap much more wiring and clearance issues. This sounds like a pricey build.

I got great deals on most of the parts. I like wiring, and have access to all the necessary diagrams.

Engine was a core $125, plus $300 in gaskets, bearings and oil pump.

Trans was $75. Rebuild parts were $450, which is a lot, but shout be a very stout tranny.

Transfer case, $60

14 bolt $100, pulled.

Dana 60 is gonna kill me

Dana 60 acquired. 4.56s, Spicer lockouts, came with srw hubs, needs pinion bearings, and maybe king pins.

4L60 is mostly together. Just need to finish up the shift kit on the valve body. All ne seals, ans clutches, many upgraded parts. Corvette servo, zpack 3-4 clutches, and larger pump boost valve.

Picked up a vss np241 from a 91 suburban a few weeks ago.

Should be getting the 14 bolt next weekend, also with 4.56s.

I think I'm going to go with skys offroad full width kit, and find some srw hubs for the 14 bolt, H1s should make the width about where I want it. May end up taking 2" off the long side of the 60 to narrow it up a bit.

Thinking about taking a couple days off and getting the axles under it when I get the rest of the parts. Need to track down some front springs still.

Have a pair of 63" springs and a transfer case adapter I need to pick up in Omaha sometime.

getting the D60 torn down. Gears look good, pinion bearing shot, lockouts were a rusty mess, but they came apart.

Going to be tearing into this in the near future. If anyone is interested in any of the stock parts pm me.

Engine - blow'd up, but all accessories will go with.
Trans- works great, shifts perfect.
Transfer case - same.
Front and rear axles - couple leaky seals but good otherwise.
Wheels and tires. Aluminum 15x8" wheels. Good BFG all terrain 31x10.50-15s, great tread, quiet, even wear.
Shocks and lift parts all around- ball joint spacers and rear spring spacers. KYB mono max shocks

Loving the runner. The engine rebuild sucks doesn't it. I'm getting ready to do it to my truck. It has 423,097 miles on it. I'm surprised it lasted this long.

It looks to be in decent shape. The gears look good, pinion bearings are loose, but carrier side bearings are good. The passenger side king pin has been apart, and looks to be newer. Drivers side, not so much. The bushing was broken, and it was kinda crusty in there.
