Trans install done. We got her in and running. Shifts like a dream. No more input shaft noise. No more whiny tranfer case. Couldnt be more happy with my $100 craigslist trans. What luck.

I helped more than I should have and am in terrible pain but its worth it.

Terry is a hell of a wrench and a hell of a guy. He came over in his uniform and I instantly slauted...lol. Funny how a uniform changes the way you see someone.

IM totally exausted but wanted to post our success. Terry drove her and really liked the head cam combo.

More tomorrow. Im beat.

Thank you for the hours of work and it was fun turning a wrench with you.

4runner trans is fianlly in I am so happy. Now I can get to work on a little lift, some 33's, some addicted offroad bumpers...then clean the bodywork up.

I also am seeing what I need to do about some tunes.

Thanks man. Work in progress.

Im researching a little lift right now to do 33's.

Thinking 4crawler 1.5 balljoint spacer...diff drop.
ome 2" rear leafs. Not sure what shocks to do.

More of a look lift than actual offroad function.

You got a great litte runner and enjoyed driving it. I was suprised with the power it did have. I am getting a tranny tomorrow and am hoping it turns out as well as the one you got. I am thinking Mistys is having the same problem yours was having.

Your wife is a great cook. Tell her I said Thanks. Really enjoyed her cooking. I just got my 3rd gen unloaded today. Thanks for the parts and Vice. I am looking forward to getting those parts and vice mounted in the shop.

I here you on the shop. I spend 5 minutes in a shop and takes 3 days to get everything back to where it belongs. Mine is a disaster right now. But the means work in progress so guess that is a good thing.

I didnt get the normal post box, so am not sure how this post is going to show. Not sure if it is my computer or Yotatech changing a few things around.

Thanks Terry. Told the wife , she says thanks. I lucked out there finding a woman who treats a grump like me so good...lol.

And the goodies were the least I could do. I drove her round the block today. I am very pleased with that trans. Who would of thought.

mightymouse swung by and got that block and pistons. Also got that transfer case from me for some doubler project.

Still getting list together for lift. Need to sell that 06 E350 first. I'll do tires and wheel at the same time. Maybe even the bumpers.

Stlrunner made me go to the junkyard today with him. We took the 87. Drove like a champ.

I just puttered while he got some bolts...did hapen upon a broken in half 84-85 4wd and got some dash pices that were convienently taken off for me.

I brought a walking stick to help get around. I felt old. Tons of seats too choose from...but Im holding out for second gen seats.

Grab me a first Gen driver seat in red.
What's wrong that you need a walking stick?

Worked 17 days straight on a big hardwood floor job lifting way too many heavy boxes over and over and over. Hardwood flooring went bad halfway through the job...distributor came and inspected....had to tear out all the hardwood and start the whole job over (woods fault, I got paid extra), got about halfway through installing the new wood and my back blew up. The wood going bad cost any xtra time we had....trying to get people into thier house by a certain date. I had alot of pressure to get it done. I should of rested on the weekends, but I didnt.

First job in 22 years I didnt couldnt complete.

Take it easy on your backs kiddos. Dont be all "I can lift it" "Im tough"

Woke up and decided to try a junkyard I hadnt tried in awhile. Called my freind Phil and he was down to go. He found some honda interior panels he was after and I limped up to the toyotas. All I was really after was some 4runner calipers. I came across a 4wd t100. Sitting in the bed were 2 calipers. Clean as can be. New pads in em. Allready off the truck. Score.

So I am rotors away from big brake upgrade.

Good yota day.

Next time I am up that way, I might go look for a set of Tundra hubs. I have just did my 3rd gens rotors for a 2nd time and there is not anything left to remove. I eventually want to upgrade my 1st gens as well. Supposed to be a nice upgrade. You have alot of Tundras up there?
