Eight fuel injectors and three fuel filters later, I finally get around to replacing the fuel tank that is full of rust.

I wish my funding hadn't come to a halt, or I'd have that 1UZ in there already. :sadbanana:

, that was the whole reason I stopped and talked to you. Of course, how could you have known when I was in the STi instead.

I recently had to downsize, and lost my garage *grumble, st00pid wimminz* Therefore I cannot tear into the truck yet.

But I have been wheelin the snot out of it up at Jack's Pass and the Salmon La Sac area. Good fun.

Oh thats lame, thats my one requirement when i buy a house. It needs to have a flat driveway, and a 2 car garage or a shop

But atleast you have the motor, so you can start in on it when you get a chance.

It's been a while, but I finally got around to ordering a 2" BJ spacers, rear coils and shocks, along with 1.5" wheel spacers.

Soon to follow that is a set of 285-75R16 BFG KM2's!

This will be a good winter.

For the time being, I think I will stick with the auto. I do like the auto quite a bit in the woods.

But, I am debating on either a 5mt R151, or maybe a newer 6 mt later.

I need to get my Subaru STi sold before the engine swap can begin though. Being cash poor sucks.

I was able to get the BJ spacers in with the new shocks and rear coils.
Also install at that time was the 1.5" wheel spacers and a brand new set of 265/75R16 BF Goodrich KM2's.

Shortly after that, I found a set of brand new Trail Gear rock sliders for $80.00. Needless to say, they were acquired and installed immediately.

I'll probably regret not going with the 285's, but I didn't have the body lift at that time, and they were necessary for a trip over to the eastern part of the state during the only low land snow that we have had this season, and my old KO's were beyond dead.

I just ordered the 4Crawler 2" body lift (necessary to clear the 1UZ swap) and will be installing it this weekend.

Time to get on WorldPac and order all the stuff for the 1UZ, i.e. Timing belt, tensioner, idlers, cam seals, water pump, valve cover gaskets, fan delete idler bracket and pulley.

I also found someone here in the states to do a "plug and play" wiring harness conversion, and for a very reasonable price. I could do this myself, but I am a lazy SOB, and I like "P&P" better.

Also recently installed was a Uniden CB radio, that fit perfectly where the ashtray used to reside, along with a Fire Stick antenna on a spring mount.

Here is a pic from the trip up to Echo Valley behind our cabin at Lake Chelan. Pre body lift obviously, since I wont get it till this Friday.

This was the last trip on the old KO's...
I now have some body damage to be proud of after the 102 trail at Evan's Creek.

And....

I just pulled the trigger on all of the timing components, tune up components, fan bracket and idler pulley!

I can almost hear it running now!

I came across Cam @ Tweak'd Performance.

Link to their Facebook page...

He quoted $450.00 + freight and a 6 week turn around, or a 1 week expedited service for $150.00 more. This is with me supplying the original harnesses for the 4Runner and for the 1UZ.

To me, that is a great deal since I would probably spend 20-30 hours doing it myself.

Yeah, I think the auto's got the oil cooler, and the manuals didn't.

Thanks! I love this truck, it just needs more power...

Hmmm,

That would suck, but if the T-100 case works, I'm sure I can find one of those cheap.
