is the cup holder attached to the gear lever and moves back and forth with it? JK!

Congrats on the cup holder.. and yes, the 2nd gen cup holders are HORRID!

I can't see from the picture, but is there enough clearance between the cup holder and your gear lever to fit your hand? Also, is this a standard product or was it a one off?

I agree I love seeing wild life. they lived here before we did.

yes Ma'am . static. I like the base they have. I have a flexible rubber mast from the 81 I will use on it. PNW trails are tight with a lot of low branches.

I am slow...I just got it after getting ready to post about some other stuff...getting old sucks

Got lucky today, a sheriff deputy gave me a free pass for having a brake light out. My 6 month old LED 1157 off eBay obviously didn't last long so picked up a pair of Sylvania LED 1157's

Having a set of bright ass LED's in the cargo area helped make the repair go easier.
The Sylvania bulbs seem brighter too👍

Alternator Upgrade Info

I have a 120 Amp alternator ready to go in the 4Runner (X-mas gift last year)
I haven't put it on yet as I wasn't sure about how the increased output may affect the stock system.

Quick turn-around on that antenna.

Looking at Superbright LEDs, thinking of replacing the signal bulbs someday down the line. Would like to know if your bulbs were theirs.

Great link on upgrading the alternator. Bookmarked!

On the alternator, I don't think it matters until you actually pull more amperage than stock? I ran a big 1/0 wire direct from alt to battery, removed the factory alternator connection from alt to 80 amp fuse panel, and left everything else factory. Then add your accessories direct to the battery. At least, that's my plan.

Have you thought about cheking to see if a tacoma shift lever surround will fit? they had a center piece on the sr5 models with a decent set of built in (adjustable) cup holders.

I'll have to look at that. I do have a blue sea auxillary fuse box that the accessories will be wired from

thats what im looking forward to/most afraid of when i move to Idaho. We live in a valley, so mountains and snow within 2 hours east and west. No snow here at 3' below sea level.

we actually had snow too, this was friday morning. I just wish we got real amounts of snow.
I have picture on my oldest standing on our deck at our house outside of Buffalo, NY and it is over her head. One year we got 7 feet in 4 days.

winter doesn't officially hit for 10 more days. We will see. It looks parts of the midwest and east coast got hammered.
this was basically just a dusting with some freezing rain. We have had some freezing rain in the past that has knocked out power for several days but fortunately that has been a few years

Snow runs would be cool. What part of Idaho? my sister used to live up near Sandpoint on Lake Pend Orielle. It was great visiting her up there
One thing I like about living in PDX is we are two hours from the mountain and 2 hours to the coast
