So what is the first thing you should do with your new Trail-Gear rear bumper?

Before I could mount the bumper to test it I got a hold of Mark aka- Chefyota4x4 and he was awesome and took some measurements off his 4Runner's T-G bumper. His measurements were spot on.
I haven't finished welding it but here is what the tweaked bumper will end up as:
This will allow the bumper to still ofFer some great corner protection and allow the Toyota swing out tire carrier to work
OK, I tried welding the bumper but my POS welder just didn't have the juice to do the plate so I sought professional help from my buddy Joe who runs http://www.journeyoffroad.com
He has built some cool rigs, currently building a power stroke Ford Expedition Van he converted to 4x4. It is a beast, will have about an 800 mile travel range.
Joe made short work of finishing it up. I got it home, test fit and mounted.
Thanks Don. I am probably gonna have to raise the mounting surface for the spare if I want to use the receiver. As it sits I will need to use a spacer to allow the 35" to clear the bumper..

And since you were joking about the Tidy Cats buckets, I think Trail-gear used them for jigs on their bumpers. The two tubes fit perfectly in the indentations on the bottom of the bucket

Thanks, it has pretty much returned to semi normal colors..
It is nice keeping the cost down on this thing. I still have a stall out at my parents to go through, so I am sure I will found some more stuff
I should have taken care of this 6 months ago but I have until the end of the month to get it registered.
So finally tore into the spindle to put in a good CV axle.
I tell you what, some people shouldn't touch brakes...if you don't know what you are doing...ask!!
There are supposed to be 6 bolts holding the rotor assembly...Genius probably started out with 6 but only 4 survived and only one was tight.
Inside of the dust shield is destroyed
Off to the hard ware store for the right stuff
