hey terry, the frame holes were not the same it was like the hoist was for a different frame had to make new holes it also wouldent fit into the guide pipe in the frame so we made things work
stopped by exhaust shop an he said its an easy fix so hat lined up on the 18th
so new holes drilled we had to adjust their side to side width a bit to get the hoist in the channel got wirewheeled an painted prior to the hoist being bolted in final time

quickly found out that the hoist wasnt going to just fit though an we added a hose clamp to the end to hold the hoist end when it goes through the pipe binds a little but it works

bit of rust removal an cleaning then hit with paint

modifications to bumper for the hoist handle

Hope all is well and the ibuprofen is kicked in.

some pictures an some experiments
got a picture of the fixed exhaust from last week

got tired of the dark gray stains an corrosion so decided to see what i could do about it did some emery cloth for the really bad pitting on the lower 1/4 of the rim that didnt do so hot fixing things
then wire brush meh
chrome polish nope
annoyed a bit i got the can of easy off (the last dregs of it) sprayed it on

ok not bad trying more got pictures of it so you can see what went on cleaning a bit more easy off then hitting it with a wire brush to scrub it
before

oven cleaner applied

yes i know the easy off takes the clear coat off...isnt much of a problem they arent in the greatest shape right now
after

likely to take a sanding sponge an then start polishing things a bit hit it with clear after degreaseing

today after much drama around the house i got on a minor project thats bugged me for awhile my rear wiper arm found the parts in the side compartment the mount still on the pivot on the top
so work area after 3 searches of our screws an nuts not a single one would fit to replace the missing one and the nearly stripped one barely holding the ramp on the arm
so trip to the bolt store 50 cents each two alen headed metric cap screws in a thread we have a tap for the arms 2 screws are some funky 5mm not a standard thread either

drilled out an retapping threads had to drill out the blades mounts just a bit the ramp the bolts were perfect size sanded things a bit as i went to get rid of corrosion an such

assembled but bolts are too long so grinding down

all fixed! ugh what i had to go through to fix this

painted

now i have to reconnect the switch in my center console

Plus it would always get stuck on the window and not fully retract.
#1017
i dont know if mine will retract yet, need the new blade an to get the switch plugged back in
#1018
Once you take them off they are a pain to get them where they retract right. It has it sweet spot that it just likes. One spline off either way and it seems to make a difference.
