Shoot!! When my truck grows up, I want it to be DIRTCO's Runner!! lol

I Like the way that came out with the round stock incorporated that way! I'll have to keep that in mind when I start doing body mods. Great Idea!!

nice job! esp. w/ the solid rod thrown in for good measure. I bet the fender is pretty stout now. I slit & folded my inner fender wells too, but had to cut a lot higher due to the prev. owners shoddy work. All too familiar sight...i think we're all in the same boat with the chrome fender trim. Good call on leaving the bondo out - it'll just cause more work later.

Thanks! The solid round rod did add more strength, it also adds more metal for smoothing everything out and gives you a nice spot to focus the heat while welding the super thin stock steel metal.

Nice work man. I am taking what you did with your rear bumper and putting it to work for me. Thanks for the inspiration.

Body filler sticks real well over POR15. 2 coats of POR15, then scuff and spread the filler. Then you never have to worry about rust under the body filler again. The filler may fall out, but your sheet metal will not rust.

Thanks!

I'm not worried about the body filler falling off or rusting from the back side. I used primer like the POR15, then sanded, scuffed and used normal primer, then paint.

My concern is hitting a rock and having the body filler chip out. Welded steel might not be as clean looking but it's better to repair and work with. Old Bondo is a pain to work with and once you use it you always have to use it.

The welds look real clean. If I were you I'd just leave it the way it is (no body filler).

Those fenders look great. I wouldn't worry about filling them. Great idea with the rod for strength. Awesome!

This is the best 4runner Ive ever seen built it the stuff that dreams are made of and one of the best builds of any sort that I have read through. It is just as unique as a fully fabbed rock truck but maintains completely functional for everyday use i am in love with this thing. It is very inspiring but almost demoralizing how much work is into this truck, you have some massive skills man thumbs up.

I have talked to him about his rim stiffners before and he really likes them. I just, hands down dig this rig. I saw it in person and these pics don't do it justice. If you have a chance to see it in person do so. It's BADASS!!!!!!!!! Jeremiah(sorry if I spelled your name wrong) has mad skills. I think this maybe the best runner in the Rocky Mountain Region. Maybe Yotatech should do a rig of the month so he could win it.

WOW, Thanks for the compliment!

I do have a lot of time into the 4Runner but it's something I enjoy almost as much as wheeling. Thanks again!

I really like the rim stiffeners, without them my wheels would be trashed. The police have never bothered me (knock on wood ) about my wheels. There are plenty of other things to pull me over for; no mud flaps, tires sticking out, tinted windows. Colorado is pretty laid back about that kind of stuff, just makes sure you have a front licence plate and a working rear licence plate light. They love pulling people over for those things here.
