Maybe Yotatech should do a rig of the month so he could win it.
Thanks Cory! It's not perfect by any means but it gets the job done, in comfort. How is your rig coming along? We need to do some wheeling once it's done.

It's been a while since I've checked this thread, (sorry for the delay getting back to everyone) or updated it. I have not done much work to it in the last couple weeks, the stock transfer case mount got replaced with a 4xinnovations T-case mount. It transfers a little more vibration but not much, I like it so far.

I pretty much wheel it, clean it, check everything, and repeat

Here are some pictures from my last couple trips

Mosquito Pass, nothing hard but the views are amazing

I Love them, Super bright! After a season of wheeling they still work. Just make sure to get the Checker or World Industries brand, I got the Hella Optilux light for the rear (pretty much the same light, housing, etc) and it's not even close in brightness. I don't know if it's a bad light but I'm a little bummed, good thing it's just the back up light.

Another trail in the Leadville area, again nothing hard but some good scenery and some awesome camping spots.

Sweet Camping Spot, there where tons of these around

And an old mine...

I had to hike up to it, reminded me of "House on Haunted Hill".

I got mine from Checkers, not JCW. Here is a link to the lights though, I have the 4" version.

Thanks! The upper pins unbolt and the whole thing folds down, it takes an extra couple minutes to get into the tailgate but it's not too bad. I can't find any pictures of the tire down, but here is a picture of the pin/bolt that holds the upper tire carrier in place.

I have also started building a small camping / expedition trailer to tow behind the 4Runner. I started with what was left of my first Toyota, all the details can be found here: https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f88/...roject-219053/

Starting out

How it sets now

Cool 86 runner

It's not perfect because you pick it apart just like we all do with our own rigs and DD. Well my rig hasn't been coming along, been working alot and this summer we moved, my gf had knee surgery. I know I'm in the process of putting a motor in a 97' blazer for my gf to drive, waiting on my buddy to finish up rebuilding the tranny. Blazer has 129k on body, motor only has 40k and tranny will have a fresh rebuild. I did buy a new rig to get me by but it has a lot of problems just babying it by till I can rebuild it. It's a 88 with 5 inch lift, high steer, not a bad motor but what I can tell is it has been rebuilt(blue painted block). Needs alot of work and the body lift and bumper/rocksliders are coming off ASAP. Trying to sell my 38's to get some new tires for it. So my 86' red runner that I was going to build is now my parts rig and the first gen truck is going to be sold or parted out.
This is the game plan for the 88'
-Looking at 5 inch lift alcans from the pick up
-5.29's detriot rear/ lockrite front, with marfeilds in front/ high steer
-hydro assist I picked up with box already tapped
-dual cases
-35 bfg KM2
-addicted offroad bumper mod alittle
-TG sliders shorten for a long bed pickup
-disk all around
-front range t-case member
-inline drive shaft e brake
Have alot to still figure out. Don't want to high jack your thread. But here is a pick of it. I'm definetly down for wheeling once it is done. Maybe even if I get it done before the snow melts do some of your local wheelin spots to test it out.

Looking good! Let me know when your ready to take it out, we'll find a good place for a shake down run (depending on the weather and time of year).
