That would be nice to know how to do colors. That would come in so handy when wanting to paint a truck and see what it would look like.

On replacing the backglass, try and get one out of the boneyard or you might be able to get a sliding window.

Start on the inside, I like to start on the passenger side upper left corner and start peeling the rubber gasket back and gradually work your way over to the drivers side. Once you the top done and down the side, the glass will pop out. I see your is broken so I might would just knock all of the glass out and vacuum it out and just pull the seal.

If your new glass already has the seal on it, I set the bottom edge on first and I use a Phillips screw driver and stick in between the seel and pinch mold/window frame and start working it back on. I never use twine but sure it would help if I did. I will say my thumb is a little sore when done, but it only takes a few minutes to reinstall it.

You have to work the seal from inside of the cab and the window will come out from the backside towards the tailgate. It isnt a bad job to do. I have had them out and back in less then 10 minutes.

Well guys, been calling here and there and everywhere locally(at j-yards). I feel your pain! Gosh it is soooo hard to find any toyota pickup in any yard locally, been told so many times we don't even have one of those years(89-95) makes me scared to even ask about (84-88).
Hopefully have a guy on craigslist with a window lined up....hopefully.

In better news! Drove the truck some more today, still not inspected, but hey where i live i got a decent little stretch(3 miles) to cruise and test her out. So fun to drive her, she has been doing great except for the few little tedious things i need to do.(mentioned in a previous post somewhere)
My temp gauge is acting weird though....like it will rise then boom back to normal...pretty sure terry has a fix in his thread somewhere...read it at some point..some gunked up sensor or something...ill have to look

Hopefully have my 1990 xtracab fixed here soon, needs brakes and some exhaust work to pass inspection...gonna also have cv boots done. And the major thing that needs to be done is the oil pan gasket.(STUPID installer did wrong and Jasper said it was on the installer! GR!) Then i'll be selling it for some cash flow, i'll be using some money for this truck to fix certain things, but ill also be keeping some for other things.

Last but not least

Hey thats me, what could it be

Truck is looking great. Nice feeling knowing where you had to where you got it now huh? Great job!!

Here is how I fixed my temp guage. It is a good idea to clean your Cold Start Timing Switch and Thermo Temp Switch just below your Thermostat. Dont forget to use pipe tape on the Timing Switch, but I use tape on all 3 of my sensors.

Here is a picture of a dirty Temperture Sensor. I have seen worse. I chipped some of the scale build up off so you could see a difference.

The sensor sits just below the Cold Start Injector in the Intake manifold. Uses a 17mm deepwell socket and is a 5 minute job.

if the sensor isnt the issue it could also be
1. an air bubble in the system
2. wrong thermostat you might need the dual stage one or one with a jiggle valve on the side

I think it's packing-ocd-man! Haha. ... But honestly, can you imagine if that thing was just bouncing around and some USPS truck or playing? Eek! Yeah, it would be in pieces! Hahaha. I spent quite a long time wrapping that, and I'm laughing right now just thinking about it. But, in the end, it got there safely, right? wooot! He he.

As far as the coolant temperature sensor, I thought I remembered it still being on the intake of the 22 R, but not in the center, if I remember correctly. I think it's green, at least on the 1 that I saw. Hope you get that fixed quick, nothing worse then a gremlin! Grrrrrrrr!

Also went to go pick this up this afternoon, the first guy didn't work out something bout wanting 100$+ for shipping, i just passed til this one came my way, real old guy, but he was nice and got him down to 50$ so it all worked out

Well, haven't got the window installed(step dad has short patience and it didn't work out the first time)

But today, i was swapping wheels and tires....broke a wheel stud(Choice word) but the good news is there like 2$ at autozone. Woo for cheap Oh and my horn absolutely hates me, I bought one that i know worked....mine still doesn't work. Using my test light, it lights up on one of the prongs that plug in horn, the fuse lights on one side. I even swapped a harness on the inside to try and get her to work...only to fail, so i'm hoping i can find something soon or im just gonna wire in a push button. It's just annoying though because it worked before the cab swap! I'm using the same steering column that was in the truck it worked in.

Is there a horn relay or special ground i don't know about?

Also tomorrow i will hopefully have her on a lift, checking her out and fixing her wheel stud. You guys can bet on me snapping some pics long as theres enough light.

rear glass is pretty easy to change, go from the inside and start pushing the seal out or you can possibly get it started from the outside too, once you get the seal rolled out its all downhill from there

Well what would happen is that we would get the bottom in, halfway up the sides and then the seal would slip out.

the person pushing has to push firmly otherwise thats gona happen

ok this is from another site theres no relay as the horn is so low current draw There is a horn fuse under the hood. and from there the hot goes directly to the horn. what the horn is the ground side is the control side. so when you push on the steering wheel it grounds out the horn. on my 85 4runner the hot wire for the ground is Green-yellow (haynes book says Blue-yellow) and the ground side is green-red.

also remove the steering wheel check the brush contact where it slides to allow the wheel to turn
