Looking good. We have the same colored slid plate haha. Looks like you don't have a sas and I'm in the same boat with my 88runner. What suspension kit did you use? I would like to get extra clearance so I can evetully put 33s on or bigger.

The turbo works alright, it puts out about 1 psi on the gauge. I have since removed the bov due to leaking. One of my injectors is sticking so i ordered flamethrower injectors. I have also added a 7mge air flow meter and 2.5 free flow exhaust

I installed the flamethrower injectors, and changed the valve cover gaskets, i also painted the upper intake red. I had to order a new fuel pressure regulator as mine had failed should be here monday.

Update: plans have changed, i have since removed the turbo and put the lce cold air intake back in, im ditching the ifs setup and am going sas in the near future. I also put a snorkel on, but still need to connect it to the intake. I also put a bigger air meter out of a non turbo 7mge, also my tps sensor is failing so i will need a new one and its causing the rotten egg exhaust smell. Will update soon, stay tuned.

ive decided I'm going to build my own electric turbo, I ordered a motor and esc for my project. motor specs are:
40mm x 76mm 2000kv motor
voltage: 24v max
120a esc w/600a burst
48,000 rpm shaft speed
2800w converts to 3.80694 hp
I'm going to use a t3 ball bearing turbo, I'm still looking at compressor maps for the desired psi and airflow rate.
Stay tuned! This is going to be my winter project.

The electric turbo I had before was only pulling 26amps at 12v with a power output of 240w, so you can see where I'm going with this. I'm looking for 3-4 psi off throttle and 1-2psi in the upper rpm range.

I think its a handler 170 mig with shielding gas. Its my buddies setup so I will have to check. The welds on the rear bumper are kinda boogered on there, I was going to clean it up with a grinding wheel but got lazy and just painted it. My plans are to link the front with a 3-link, still looking at different manufactured kits, and a link upgrade for the rear from Front Range offroad. I'm looking to keep it as low as possible with 35 inch tires max.

Awesome! Looking at getting a welder for myself soon. Found one on sale that runs 30-80A (130A Peak) but not sure if it's up to the job beyond body panels.

Update: I ordered a t04e turbo it has a 3" inlet and 2" outlet, .50 a/r 57 trim. It has journal bearings that I'm going to convert to a sealed ball bearing.
. I ordered a smaller 12v motor for testing. I've drawn up blueprints for the motor mount that I'm checking into having machined, and I found a motor coupler. I also picked up a chunk of 3" aluminum rod for the motor mount.
. I figured out a way to tie into the tps sensor for variable output of the turbo. I'm basically going to build a more powerful version of the turbo I had.
. Stay tuned, I will update as the parts arrive, should be tomorrow.

Does this just push more air into the intake or is it hooked to the exhaust too? It would be interesting to see before and after dyno results.

Yes this forces more air into the intake, I'm basically replacing the exhaust side with an electric motor

A normally aspirated motor will only suck as much air as it needs has been my experience. I think you are barking up the wrong tree but I would be interested in before and after dyno results. Good luck with the project.
