Dang dude. Anything that has to do with oral pain gets to me bad. Thank you for the reminder I now have dental insurance as of January 1st. I gotta make my dental appointment asap!

You must have tons of stuff on the computer to fill that 500gb hard drive lol. I highly recommend you buy an external hard drive. I don't have one just yet because I only have about 16/500gb used on my conputer hard drive. But I would recommend getting anything over one terabyte. this is is especially handy to have in case your computer crashes and wipes your whole memory. At least you'll have your precious pix vids and other important files on an external hard drive.

Ill take a look at the pictures and youtube videos that you uploaded. If there is enough pictures amd videos ill make a video.

Teaser..... I will do a slide show, but since the pics have been posted now it won't let me retrieve the IMG or other info when I changed it to 2014. Plus, it would mean Johnny and whomever else would have to re post everything. Oh well... I have bigger problems right now I guess, lol. I had a great time guys, always great to see you and the lady Richard... And it was excellent having you down, Johnny!

Thank you to Zack, John and his son, James, Josh, Ruben, Julio and everyone else who came. Sorry for the drama, John... You'll get it fixed in no time and be right out with us again. Zack, you too ..... Sorry you got your ball joints busted! Lol. I can only laugh now because we were all laughing and nobody got hurt. Your homie is quite the repairman, and I would most definitely like to thank him for helping you so well!

I looked in my youtube and it looks like one of them didn't upload. I have to search for it because it was a gnarly steep climb that I got from my perspective. It's one of those videos you can really tell how steep it is.

Otherwise the emergency bill from elsewhere will kill me! Have to stay in my plan now, and I really would rather see MY dentist of years! Grrrrrr-ouch.

It'It's ok Jonny....Sorry for the misprint. Just clarify it in your post and all will be ok. I tried to change it and then reload PB and then went to pull up the links......it wouldn't let me anyhow, so I just changed it back to 2013. It doesn't really matter for the sake of my PB album subscribers......They just wanna see Yota port and/or keep up with me. Ppl like family and friends, etc, will know when it was anyhow, lol.

Chevota! How you been buddy?!? Thanks.....I like how it'it's set up. Few things I'll be changing, to customize/maximize performance....... Few more mods to come in the near future. ...... But all in all I think it's coming to be my "Dream Toy". .....<--- Thanks in large part to MANY ON HERE!

Well, the tooth broke off in the Bone and the abscess formed around it... That's why it's pushing it out. I have pics of the xray, but I'm not sure I'll bore ppl with all that. Very sad for me to see the Bone loss that I've gotten over the last 2 years..... And, it's so messed up that she said if I don't get the abscess down with these GNARLY antibiotics first.....She worries that the anesthetics won't work well and the operation would be much ore painful than it should be....So hopefully, within 48 hours it will subside enough to allow her to do the surgery. ALSO, the other tooth she wants to try and bone graph before removal( two things that are important to mention that she is very against nitrous oxide, so this is why she wants the local anesthetics to work really well instead of not at all... And secondly, she's also really shocked that I even have half of the teeth left that I do considering all of the bone loss suffered... So she really wants to try n save the 80 percent or so teeth that I have left , by doing advanced periodontal surgery with several new styles of bone graft building........ She warned me today, "This will likely take a while and I have to be honest and tell you that it will require you to endure quite a bit of pain.... ")........Ahhhhhh. Yes, that is a sigh..... But, in all honesty, it's only because this is the only part of my body the freaks me out regarding having work done or surgery. I have broken total of 50 + bones in my body..... Some of that number accounting for the same bones breaking more than once. Most of them during that serious accident in 2002. I've endured the pain of resetting bones including the femur and compound fracture and some of the worst painful ones such as the metatarsal bones and ankles...... But in spite of the fact that I've had major work done in my mouth already, and I took it like a man... It's still very unnerving to me. So I just need to relax and try n have faith that everything will be ok, because getting freaked out its only going to cause more problems and specifically, this gnarly antibiotic is already going to make me a little sick ... So I don't think I need to add mega stressed to the max.

She told me to stay busy until I come in, so I think I will try to get a little bit of the work I have planned done. I still need to do my headlight wiring harness upgrade and alternator. Maybe I could get something like that done.

Another thing that I'm a little concerned about, which is silly, is that over the last several years I have basically sacrificed everything to care for people in need... I have no problem doing it, but it has caused me to miss out on quite a few events and so forth. I have very much looking forward to going to king of hammers. This recovery for the sea in the fall portion of work could take me right up to the line, pertaining to acceptable amount of healing before I go. The first one is not just pulling a tooth, it is deep bone scraping and all kinds of other stuff, along with a craft. That means they have to open up my gum quite a bit to try and build up the bone before they can do implants or anything of the sort. I just can't have any idea of how I'm going to feel and just over 3 weeks... I know my health is much more important, but I sure would still like to be able to go. I don't see why not is long as I have no need for serious pain medication at that point. And even if I'm still in a little bit of pain, I guess I could still go as long as I take it easy?

PS: she wants me to meet with a friend of hers that is a podiatry expert and surgeon. She sings that since this bone loss condition that I have is very specific to certain areas, it might very well be the root of the cause of my pain in my feet. It is quite the coincidence that they are both coming on at the same time. She said that basically if my heel plate is dissolving, it will cause all type of waste and calcification into the Achilles tendon the turns into the plantar tendon. It would also cause a lot less cushioning to be provided for those things. She doesn't want to speak for that guy, but she studies a lot and said that this is most often something that has to be dealt with using surgery. I'm going to do everything I can for the next few months to get back down to 200 pounds( I know it's hard to believe, but I have a large structure that anything below 190 pounds and I start to look odd. Lol. Isn't it funny that I have huge bone structure but then acute specific bone loss that may very well be keeping me, for pain, from doing what I need to do in order to lose weight. Between that and the severe damage I suffered to my thyroid in the accident... It could be, well, let's just say its about 5 times the work for me compared to most people just to get back in shape... I'm really strong and I have tons of endurance... And thank God I have a high threshold for pain... But I obviously need to really think about my health more than the average person. I also started my e-cig thing full throttle again and haven't had a cig since I got back.

Wish you a speedy recovery! I ended up going on a trip to pismo in the RZR when I was still recovering from my femur break. Forgot my cane at the gas station so i was hobbling around all over the place

James owed me for the time he broke his center pin on his jeep in the middle of no where at 3 am. He and a few others slept in his car and I had to go find him in the morning.

Later that day we went back to go find the jeep with a new pin in hand but James crashed on the quad so i had to drive him about 60 miles to the ER. Then drove back to the desert and finally found the jeep at about midnight. Then spent a few hours pulling the rear axle back under it and fixing it. Ended up having a friend drive it home....

Anyways hope that story cheers you up a little haha

I thought I'd upload these to this thread...

I had a great trip with Redeth005 and JonnyBoy , Angeles Crest, where we camped at Sycamore Flats and wind up on Saturday with 8 Yota's and a SICKLY modified Bronco 2! A bit of carnage that day as we lost one guy completely, John and his son in a 92 extra cab to a blown out clutch... And Zack, zip 26 , who won the blowing out both ball joints on 1 side of his sick T100. But all in all it was a good time and I really enjoyed hanging out with everyone.

Just leaving my house,... You can see why someone would want to get the hell out of here once in awhile! Very grateful to live where I do, but sometimes its a bit overwhelming to have trouble going 15 miles and sometimes over 1 hour...

Heading out by the way, finally, I hit the 14 and I was surprised to find my truck doing 70 miles an hour, in 5th gear, on a over 50 percent grade...

Finally got 2 the 138 Highway, over the past, and stopped in and had a kick ass lunch at Charlie Browns! Handmade quarter pound beef sausage Ruben dog with sauerkraut and Swiss on a KILLER brioche Bun, seasoned fries and a double chocolate banana shake... I highly recommend anyone heading through the Antelope Valley, Little Rock and pear blossom in particular, to stop at this place and check it out. Its a lot of fun. Huge candy selection including sugar free, local made jams and honeys and even their own winery... Great food including tons of jerky and sausage from local meat purveyors that does game and so forth... Around 100 flavors of milkshake including their famous Date Shakes.... Chocolatier, huge novelty section what times of collectibles, lots of artwork including indoor and outdoor... And just generally really cool people that treat you well! .....

Stop at the ranger station just passed the aqueduct and then post office, and you can fill up your 7 gal and water container like I did, just miles before the camp, instead of carrying that 60 pounds around. (Valyermo Ranger Station for reference) ....

I initially past Sycamore Flats campground, which surprisingly was empty...( I guess when its 30 degrees at night or colder, the morons stay away, along with the bugs... Which is a good thing! Lol. ) .... About 100 yards past that camp I made a right up in the South Fork campground.... It's a beautiful somewhat secluded camp that is still on the run a mile and a half of the road...

Off to the right about 5 degrees you can see a crag at the bottom of the tall pine tree line, that is where the camp is. Unfortunately I didn't get any pictures up there because I was too busy trying to get ahold of them on the phone , to see which camp they probably would prefer. Unbelievably for about 2 minutes I got reception and got through to them.... They both message to me suggesting it might be better with some of the issues they were concerned about, camping closer to the road, rather than going up the dirt road... I obliged as the Dude would, set up camp and within one hour it was pitch black. Luckily I had some wood so I set up a fire, flipped on the rock lights, set up my bed and got the food out to make dinner when Johnny arrived...

I then took off to scout a little bit and 1 up I really nasty narrow hill that had pretty nasty valleys on either side, and in the third picture you can see down in there a bit... Just to the right, way down below, that's where everyone was still parked...

I did not think it was a very good idea for everyone to try and get up this... So, I took off back to the group and we decided to press on a little further east to another set of hills that didn't have such a drop off... However, they were pretty extreme at spots... Especially at the top. Around a hundred feet from the top, Zach (zd426) pretty much just blew up the upper ball joint on the passenger side. Well, I shouldn't say he blew it up, it just completely failed. BUMMER#2! I had already gone ahead a little bit to see which way to go... When I got the call on the radio. I turn around and pulled to the top and when I realized how steep it was toward the top, I knew my only way to get him up was with the winch. However, not really wasn't going to work because his front end was completely toe in on the right side around 6 inches past the driver side... Either way, it wasn't going anywhere, and probably the worst idea would have been to pull him up further... So, his buddy James got to doing some crazy scary hillside / hi lift / horrible angle ball joint ratchet strap repair, just to get him down the hill.

As this was unfolding I called and found an upper ball joint at CARQUEST Auto Parts in Palmdale. JonnyBoy took off on around the 30 minute drive to go pick it up... James strap repair to pull the ball joint back in to the socket worked at least to get him down to a little bit more level ground. He couldn't get quite out of the road so I squeezed by him after cruising down the hill with Fabylous in the passenger seat.... I think by this time she was just a little north of freezing her ass off! ...... I still had shorts on. Lol

After I got around him, and pulled up... We set there for a little bit, basically waiting for JonnyBoy. ... Who turned up pretty much around five minutes later... Very cool of you to roll out and do that, Jonny!....

As the ball joint got installed they had already planned on just getting it to the road to have it towed back... Johnny had already been to town so he knew the quickest route back to the road. Richard, his co worker John and myself all took off the other direction back towards the more difficult stuff...

Write about here... Above, I stopped, as I had just gotten another call over the radio that his lower ball joint heading out busted completely out of the socket! ... Ughhh! Poor Zach! And James of course, lol...

I couldn't go another foot without eating something, so we made some kick ass sandwiches with some fresh bakery squaw bread I brought and deli roast beef and turkey... Good stuff! We then headed back and lit up the trail repair for Zack and James, while we waited for there buddy to get back in the Bronco with the lower ball joint.....

So at this point, we all split up and Johnny boy, Richard and Faby and myself , after Johnny search for a little bit on the phone, decided on BJ's for dinner... We were just too tired and cold to go back and set up the grill and stove and everything else at 10 o'clock at night...

There is video of that... But its on Instagram. I suppose I could get it from Faby,.... But meh. Lol... Just going Instagram and look up... #youfixitevenifitsonauphill ...... Hahaha. Great hashtag! I will be totally shocked if there is another one besides that video tagged! Lol.

We headed back to camp and just chatted a bit and johnny got right on tweaking his front end after some scary death wobble on the road......

Here is Johnny explaining to Richard how and why he's probably having these trippy issues with the steering and so forth... Keep in mind, it is no more than 30 degrees out at that point... Richard crashed very shortly after... John and I did as well but I decided I should take a couple pictures of the stars because they were so incredible!!! I guess the hashtag here would be #googgawdilovemycanonD! Lol....

I know that's a double post of that picture, but RIGHT???????^^^^^^^^ must have been at least five to ten shooting stars in those 20 minutes. Awesome sauce! Lol.

We all crashed out and at one point, when Johnny was done messing with his truck, you very kindly kaptest tools out and adjusted my steering back to toe in because I was toe out on both sides! I hit a ditch pretty freaking hard at one point. Eek! Hahaha....

After this, and doing some packing up, we all agreed that we should get in some wheeling before this day was through... So we headed up 2 the further east side of the backside of the Angeles Crest, which was basically a right turn at the bottom of the road from camp. Jackson Lake direction we drove... As we passed the frozen lake I snapped a shot... I can't believe this actually came out! Hehe....

We then, at one point, turn around and came back to a turn off that Jonny found on the ipad and dat was our wheeling for the day...... Here....( feel free to watch only the shorter videos, etc. I have not finished editing my Windows Live Movie Maker, as I'm dealing with a bit of pain and still very busy... I think it's still better than watching fail compilation videos over and over and over again... But then I was there, so I understand some people get bored. It's just that I have a huge memory card in this phone, and everytime I turn the damn video of something really cool happens where I can actually turn it back on.).....

At around 6 minutes 30 seconds in this next video, we actually do a little hill climb... The trust me this thing is steeper than it looks here.....

Faby Rollin the Kingsford!.....

More short fun ones that Jonny got...

And that did it for our wheeling of the day... So we headed back to camp... To break down and head home! .....

At Camp, I busted out some jumbo shrimp and cocktail sauce, while Richard made us an excellent Hawaiian style barbecue carne asada dinner! GRUB! Man do I enjoy not having to cook! Thanks again, Richard!

That concludes our trip to the Angeles Crest National Forest. There are ups and downs to every area, but I still have to say that after 30 years of coming up here, while it has gone downhill in regards to freedom of roaming... Is still a beautiful place right in our backyard of Los Angeles!

I hope to get another trip together very soon with a little bit more planning as to where we wheel.... And most definitely some camping involved again. Everyone who came was appreciated and I enjoyed everyone's company!

I'm desperately trying to get a plan together for KOH, and I'm hoping that more than a few people will show up at Tierra del Sol! KOH starts on the 31st and goes thru the 8th. Hopefully we can find a couple of days where at least a few people can show up??????? I will try to post some detailed thread for a roll call very soon.

Very great way to kick off the new year!

Awesome pics and looks like a fun time! A few questions about your rig though
1) What type of lockers are you running? front and rear?
2) What rear springs are you running? chevy's or something else?
3) It sounds like there is some slight rubbing with the 35s. Have you had to do any trimming?

Thanks,
Chris

Chris suuuuup! Lol....

1.) Spartan X 2

2.) TG 4" LIFT SPRINGS w/ 6" Shackles ( soon to be modified or changed in some way to get rid of a little bit of a rake...)...

3.) The only rubbing I had really that you HEAR in the videos is going on in the front. It's the plastic fender skirt. ( its actually only happening on the left side also... The driver side)... When you stuff in a turn to the left, stuffed on the left, the axle comes back words fairly dramatically and as it rubs and pushes on the plastic fender skirt that actually is only attached by a pop pin or screw..... It forces it out, similar to say something like the hardcover of the notebook... I can only resist so much against a 35, and then it catches that edge and bent out and from then on out on the trip you will basically have like a card in the bicycle spokes. I sent them have pounded all the pinch welds and stuffed that's under skirt inside of pinch welds before hammering.... The same thing happens with the rear axle when you have a double camber flex especially... It comes back and rubs hard. It's basically because these springs are not running with a centerpin that is at the center of the spring leaf pack... The springs are much longer to the rear of the pin, same as the front leaves... The way the shackle compresses the springs the actual up and back around 10 degrees. You may know all this but I figured I might as well just share it now to get it out of the way? Lol. Forgive any typos I'm too tired to go back and correct it, just ask me and I will go back and explain tomorrow. Hahaha

Thanks Paul, I appreciate it man! I appreciate you.... You been a good dude to me, sir! And I most certainly will get some of those pictures to you from the Canon. They are all saved to my PC and external hard drive. I cleared all the video of my PC onto my harddrive... 149 gigabytes! I guess what most radio nowadays being around 1 gig for anything over a couple minutes... At least in HD... Its not that crazy. Its just amazing how quickly you can suck up all of your C Drive! Lol.

I was talking to you about the app... The up for the site that is.... And I forgot to mention that Instagram is also giving me a bunch of crap. Ever since the most recent update to jelly bean 4.3 or something like that on my note 2... I have not been able to upload a single video to Instagram! Grrrrr! I'm grateful for the service, it's free, don't get me wrong... But it's not like they're not making any money off it. And secondly, this glitch before I realized what it was as cost me over Christmas to lose precious memories that I thought were being saved. I guess that's what I get. The cannon point and shoot does a really good job... But you have to load the SD into something or plug it in to your phone... I guess it's the safest way plain and simple.
