have you done the 1 inch washer lift of the rear of your front seats mark? hear tell it helps make them more 'comfortable' to sit in someone even said they were making a kit to do it (or selling it not sure)

I have not, William... I think Roger(4crawler) sells those though... Pretty much positive he's 'done' it(not SURE on the selling part, lol.. Check his store)... I am VERY comfy in my truck... it's the CRV.... the seats are VERY firm foam... (plus too tight on the bolsters for me, personally... NO, I'm not skinny, I know... but it's more the width of my back and chest/ribs... Even when I was VERY toned... I had trouble with even my Supra Seats and a couple other vehicles at the time. MOSTLY cuz of the bolsters... But the CRV seats, it's cuz it's just too firm, on top of the narrow bolsters thing, ya know?

Mark,
The Door lock detection works off of the tailgate lock switch next to the handle, It actually doesn't care if the tailgate is up or down.
Also On -Ground -Door is wrong....the dome light has two grounds and one power leg(center)....door is grounded by the switch and On is grounded by a bolt.

Check your tailgate lock. My light goes on and off with just the lock/unlock switch.

nice job

Terry, why not, right? Try it out and report it up, yeah?

RB, ........ I believe the reason yours goes on with the lock open, only, and mine does not?>>> The diode. By putting the diode between the door lock detection switch and the "Other one"(hahaha, ...can't remember the name just now). By putting it there and completing the circuit with a wire BEFORE the diode, the light ONLY comes on when I "OPEN" the tailgate. That's why Bryan89 added that diode in there(he went over that in his awesome thread, hahaha). He didn't want to have to close AND lock the tailgate to turn the light off.... Rather, he wanted it to go off like the front door when shut(IF the front dome is set to "DOOR", of course, lol).
I can see advantages to both ways... ya know?

I hear ya, RB, far as the wiring... I CAN'T EXPLAIN why I keep 'SAYING' that, when I KNOW that it's a 'Switched Ground' light.... SAME WITH THE PANEL ONES I'M USING! WTH is up with me?? haha... My brain, buddy, I'm telling ya... it's just on TMI lately. I even POSTED that dang picture, >>>>

(SHOWING that the bolt is ground for ON.... Then DOOR section is completed by the other side of the pole as a 'switched ground'..... then 12V is ALWAYS THERE... just not allowed through the bulb, so to speak, until you 'MOVE'A'DA'SWITCHAROO', ORRRR, open the door, etc. haha... ) AND THEN I STILL said it wrong. EEEK! Even in the video I think I said it wrong ...

Thanks for the heads upon that, RB... I don't wanna mess people up. I'll try to go back and clean those posts up and then do a 'thread' real quick when I'm DONE, ya know?

Hey guys, ..........

Was on my way out the door and the facility called me and said he was rushed to the ER with Pneumonia, and needed a breathing tube inserted. Ahhhhhh.... They've got him on Antibiotics and the breathing tube and are trying to beat it back..... They said he would be there several days if they can turn it around, in ICU...... ...

My poor mom, too... Most people whom she's spoken to, today, since getting this news, have all said, "Yeah, you should at least prepare yourself... This is not usually a positive outcome at his age/with all his problems, ESPECIALLY with a breathing tube.".... My mom then recalled how my great grammie(her grandma who raised her) was finally taken out by Pneumonia, after beating 2 broken hips, hitting her head and even more than all that... So she's very nervous. I'm going to take her over to the hospital, stay a bit and then I have to work this evening(wasn't supposed to.. but it's an important event and they can't find a replacement for me)... I just don't want her to drive when she's so unnerved, ya know?

Thanks again for the prayers and well wishing... I just have to wonder if it would be best for him at this point.... He's SO MISERABLE and in pain from the diabetes, etc.... Basically, he CAN'T STAND what his life is any more. Very sad.

I also wish YOU ALL well, guys and gals... I know this stuff effects EVERYONE... and has already in many cases. I GREATLY appreciate the sharing of many of your personal experiences, on here or in private... It meant a lot to me. This is why it's been so difficult to be so far from my father, in AZ.... He's NOT in great health, himself... and now, yesterday, he had to put down his BEST FRIEND, 'Elvis', the 14yr old ˟˟˟˟zu ..... This dog was by his side every day of 14 years...and much of it my dad has been struggling with his own health issues(back, clots, etc.).... So my sister and I, especially after speaking with him, are pretty upset that we can't just hop on over and visit him for the week while he's grieving, ya know? We'll see him for Thanksgiving.... I just thought i'd ask if whomever does wouldn't mind keeping him and my stepmom in your prayers as well. I know, it's a dog... He would be in much deeper darkness if he'd lost one of us, his kids... but he/they REALLY LOVED that dog, deeply. So I understand his deep feeling of loss, I do.

Take care, ya'all..... life is short.... Be good to each other, right? Maybe even call that loved on you've not spoken to in a while? Just a thought.

Sorry for the bad news chef.
My rear light is activated by the front door opening, so, open the front door and both lights activate. If you only open the tailgate only the rear comes on iirc.

Good luck Chef.

My dad wasn't doing so well either so I moved him across Canada to live with me bill free to get back on his feet. He had a heart attack while I was living in Australia and was worried sick about him for years. This was my one shot I had to give him a hand before I have to go back to Oz.

I love the old grump to bits even if he is a pain in the butt.

Hey Mark... got more of that good juju aimed at your pop in AZ... my advice is he get a new dog soon like within a week... a house isin't a home till there's a dog [or cat ] in it... the new fuzzy will help him with the grieving process and there are plenty of dogs waiting for a new home at his local pound... just don't get another 'zu [it would be too hard emotionally] get something of similar size but different... go for a mutt...
whenever any of our dogs have passed on from old age we welcomed new ones from the pound within 2 weeks... all different types with different personalities...
w/your dad being so far away from family this is the best advice I can offer...

Pneumonia was one of the factors in my mom's sudden death this year it is seriously a killer bug that does'nt get half the respect it deserves... if you or a loved one gets it folks you need to get to a doc and get it taken care of pronto.

IK what it's like to be the "irreplaceable man" at work... it's a major PITA!... but it also = job security... until boss losses his mind a shuts down the biz that is...

Stay strong bro I see the storm clouds thinning out for you soon...

Well, .....ahhhhhh, .... this has turned out to be a pretty bad situation for my Stepdad.....

We got there, and one of the head doctors sat with us and said, ...........

"He came in BARELY breathing on his own... Around 82% on 02 Saturation.... Normal is 98-100%.... They checked his lungs and found he has Pneumonia in BOTH lungs.... It's pretty severe.".....

They're not sure if he aspirated or whether his aortic valve replacement is regurgitating into his lungs(not sure how, but he was basically saying that he's very concerned about that, and thought he should do a 'live feed'... (probably misnamed that).... Where they go in for everything, meds, etc., through the corroded artery.

The one lady was very honest... and said that HE COULD make it... but if he does, he's facing a HUGE uphill battle, especially with his diabetes/heart and arterial disease/previous serious strokes/aspiration/inhalation(?) tube they had to put down his throat(it can often lead to infection as well)... AND, .... he's most likely to aspirate food again and be back again.

He has lost most all of his quality of life... Even if he makes a full recovery from this, it WILL cause permanent damage, and his quality of life will likely decline even further.

They are putting some HUGE decisions re; options to my mom... She is so overwhelmed by it all... I'm not sure I could feel any worse for her right now.

Thank you so much, guys... I and my family are very grateful for your thoughts and prayers.

Just saw that, Paul....

Too late, regarding 'another type of dog'.... My brother already picked up a 10Week ˟˟˟˟zu.... He's still very upset, obviously... but he sounded actually kind of excited about that, today. My dad told me, "Son.... you have enough on your plate.. PLEASE don't worry... I'm very numb, but I WILL be ok!".... Miss that dude much, man.. Can't wait to see him soon...

Just have to face that this is possibly going to put off my trip.... I might just stay with my mom if it comes to that and let my sister and her family take my daughter and granddaughter... I REALLY want my dad to meet his Great Grandchild... We never know when our time is up... And time flies between trips... So I DO NOT want my daughter to miss seeing him for the Holiday.....

But, let's just say he(my stepfather) put me in charge of all this... So in the end, I have to honor his wishes, period, before EVEN THINKING about what "I want to do" right now(obviously)...

WOW, guys.. seriously... OUCH!

the 'live feed is a large IV line attached to the major vein at the collarbone its stitched on much better for getting meds an fluids into a person who might have circulation issues also can be called a 'picc line'

if he aspirated food or liquid means it went down the wrong pipe if his heart valve isnt closing correctly he could be back washing pressurized blood flow to the lungs which is adding to the fluids instead of removing them both are bad for a breathing issue

the put a tube down his airway they intibated him to better feed oxygen to his lungs an assist his breathing

sounds like their doing as they should to help him and being honest with you on the recovery time and his risks after ...i know all of this due to my mother and myself... too many hospital visits...

again mark ya have my # ya need to talk call

Thanks so much, guys...

Well, it looks as if my stepfather is coming out of the super-danger zone with the 02 levels, etc. They MAY remove the breathing/intibation tube, today, if he continues to hold 02 levels and such, within his blood. That doesn't mean that he is going to breath perfectly well on his own. It's also unknown if he's had any brain damage, etc. (This is ONLY possible because of the heart surgery, which Ervin himself has said, many times, lately... "I wish I never did that. I just want to go home.".... ahhhhhhhhh. )

I'll keep you informed... Thanks again for all the well wishing and prayer. I just feel terrible for ANYONE to have to go on with a life that they're so unhappy with.... But since he has a new heart, this will happen, very likely, no matter what he has to go through in the future.

I'm trying to get back to my rig, soon... I REALLY need to have something of a hobby aside from this type of thing always being the all consuming factor. I also have to look after my mothers best interests... So this could become very difficult.. thanks for your thoughts and prayer, HONESTLY!
