Well I finally made some time to go fishin
went up to courtrite, not sure if that is how its spelled or not but it was a very nice lake, gona take the bass boat next trip. I shot some pics for you guys. we did go in a spot in the camping area with a couple rocks to do a flex pic. Enjoy.

check out that flex with the ZUK mod, tire tucked in the fender. front wheel lifted off the ground once my brother got out.

My bro with his trout, we caught 6 total. some guys gave us some cause they caught more than there limit.

LOL your right, didnt even see that, was too busy drooling over our trucks... yea I am happy with the zuk mod, i think it lifted up about 4-5 inches. i put 14 inch springs but then took them out and cut 2iches from them so the 12 inch springs would have been the way to go. they flex just fine and the ride is good.

Looks great (ZUK mod) and I love your front custom bumper. If you don't like having the extra turn signals *IN* the bumper, I saw a mod here where you can drill a hole in the housing of your front driving lights and mount the turn signal lights from the OEM bumper - looks great.

I left my ZUK bumpstops pretty "tall" when I cut them, and they do *groan* a fair amount....may cut them down soon....but like Chef said, need to get it running first!

Welp I got tierd of that broken plastic trim on the back and I couldnt find one locally andhavent got any leads on one online so i desided to make something myself. here are a few pics. its a piece of 3" flat stock with some egde trim around it. I am gona get some white vinal decal for it, not sure what to put!! either TOYOTA or YOTATECH.COM what do you guys think???

I put some LED lights behind it to light the plate, I found them at PEPBOYS for about 10 bucks, they are supposed to be for the widshield washer sprayers but i modded them to mount in there. they light up the plate fairly well at night.

so now I have on order a used master cylinder and power booster from a v6 truck to put on mine, hope that fixes the brake problem cause mine suck right now, i want to pull my boat but would worry about not being able to stop. will get picks during the swap!!

Great stuff, Cougar! Nice mod! I say, "PUT WHATEVER THE HECK YOUUUUUU want on there, lol" Maybe the Family Name? Or "Built, not bought" or something? lol.

Looks great, man! Did my Zuk, it's actually REALLY nice! I love it! It's on my troubleshooting thread and I'll be adding more pics and video of the after stuff.

Enjoy the new stuff! lol.

Ok, I must know....how are those tires? Notice a bit more noise or more fuel consumption with them? ..... are they shredding? things like that, hahha. Actually, I figured, at 430$ to my door, tax and shipping included...I could afford a 5th tire and still be about 300$ below the cost and tax and mounting, etc., of 4 BFG AT 31x10.50x15's.

Which tire did you get again? The size I mean, and the tread (D or E) ...and what's the difference, I couldn't really find that on the d or e thing. lol.

Hey Chef I love the tires, they hum a little but I cant really compare cause there the first for me, not shredding, even with the 105 degree heat they are fine. I dont know about d or e rating, it doesnt say. they are the guard dog M/T tires on sale now for 89 each. well the latest news I found a 85 runner at the salvage yard and it had the tailgate trim that i need with the key switch in it so I grabbed it. as soon as i get it rekeyed to fit my key i will install it.

Next item is I purchased an Aluminum radiator and bought a taurus 2 speed fan. I will post up some pictures later. I ordered a fan speed control from DCC and it wont be here for about 3 weeks so I am gona wait till then to install the new radiator and fan. it looks pretty good, solid aluminum no plastic tanks.

also i have 2k miles on the rebuild so far, just changed the oil tonight before going up to courtright tommorrow after work, anyone wanna go just meet at the voyager camp up there. gona do some fishing. to get there you go on the dusy ershim trail not to far from the trail head.

DANG I wish I could go. Have to wait till next week, during the week, to get gone. GRRRR! lol. Might have to wait even longer, because my tires are cracking along the edge and, while I'm sure they MIGHT be fine,....I'm really SURE of NOTHING! lol. Might is not good enough, so i have to now wait for tires to either come or, if I buy new, just go get em! lol. Yeah, can't beat that deal, 88$ a piece right now, .... versus 178$ for brand new BFG MT's out the door. I'll be deciding, either way, tomorrow morning. My tire shop owner buddy doesn't seem to care, either way, hahaha. He's no help, lol. The difference is, basically, if I go with new BFG's from my bud, they're installation is free, but there is tax. If I do the guard dogs, there is no tax, but there is 107$ shipping and I have to pay for installation, ...60$. That brings the Guard dogs total cost up to 520$ versus the 740$ for the BFG's total. 220$ is 220$...but not sure if it's enough to deny myself a lifetime warranty that the BFG's offer, ya know? Hmmmmm, hahaha. Tough choice. I LOVE the look and stuff I've read on those tires you have. Just terrible at making decisions like this i guess, hahaha.

is that price for 4 or 5 tires?? I like mine, no issues yet but i only have about 1800 miles on them so far. if you go with the gaurd dogs request BFG sidewalls, i didnt and they sent me michelin. they match though. i am gona try and do some wheeling saturday so i will let you know how it goes.

It's 4 for 360$ plus 108 Shipping... No tax. However, I then have to pay someone to mount and balance them, so 520$ or so, installed, for 4? Thanx for the tip on the BFG sidewall thingy. If I go with them, I WILL ask for that.

Looking forward to some pics of your trip! Oh, and have fun!!!!!!!

Took a trip up to courtright for a overnighter with a couple friends from church. We went to Voyager Rock camp ground which is behind the lake and you have to go up the Dusy Ershim to get to it and let me say for my first time off roading and it was at night it was fun but crazy at the same time. we both made it ok. next time i want to go a little farther down the trail, also need to get some lockers, there was a couple of spots where the locker would have been useful. I cought one trout and one of the other guys caught one also. here are a few pics.

this is a shot of our rigs in the morning and camp.

here is a shot of my son in the green and his friend fishing.

couple of poser shots in camp. my frinds rig is basically the same setup as mine. 410 gears open diffs just he has a solid front axle. it seemed as he did better than me in a few spots and i did better than him in a few so i guess each has its own advantages.

heres a shot with my front wheel in the air flexed out. it was teetering on two opposite wheels.

heres my favorite. the scennery was just amazing.

heres my friend going up a spot on the dusy. well thats about all i have. I think my friend has some vid of me wheelin in a spot where a locker would have been really great. if i get it from him i will post it up. also if you didnt notice i put some driving lights up front, they work pretty good, HF special for 20 bones and they came with the wiring and fuse and switch. gotta go to church now. enjoy.

Hey Cougar, ....NICE! So cool, seeing both white toys wheelin around. Beautiful scenery!

Did you load these from photobucket? Mine save from my point and shoot at 2.2MB, ...and they don't seem to do that. Wonder what your memory size is, maybe that would be telling. Even with my Canon, I shoot some at 5MB+, and they don't seem to do that... Curious as to why they did.

Anyway, glad you had fun!

Nah,.... people can just deal for now, hahaha. Actually, with Photobucket, I don't think you'll have that problem, ...and it's free, ya know, so...why not? lol. Maybe try loading those few to photobucket and then post em here.(when you have them saved there, you just have to click on the bottom of 4 links photobucket shows, then copy and paste it here in the window....No "Insert Image" stuff, just paste the link here)
