So was the cruiser wire with the fusible links a factory peice you had to get or could you get an aftermarket one.Reason i ask is because the starter wire on our 97 4runner is messed up on the end that goes to the battery post and it looks like the factory one but all ive found to replace it is a factory one, no aftermarkets.

Autozone sells fusible links in the electrical section. About 4 bucks a piece. Comes with ends. That what I used and it worked great

When I got home from work I put a third coat of paint on the rims and went to dinner.

After dinner it was time to install these bad boys. I pulled the first tire off and compared them side to side.

I like the way they look on the truck. I wish my truck sat these high but alas it is still on the jack.

I did have to do some "adjustments" to the fender wells to prevent rubbing the tires at full turn. Some persuasion with a BFH and all was well.

In other news...... I have a few friends coming over to help me bob the bed on Saturday. I'm trying to get ahead of the rust monster before it completely takes over.

Okay sorry if it appears I'm trying to thread jack but this is urgent.
I have a 1995 4runner 3.0 stock. I was having problems with the egr system via a code 71 this being my daily driver I'm in a rush to get it fixed. I'm stumped howevef. I removed the pair and egr valves. Blocked both the ports in the engine they left. I sealed it with rtv and used the gaskets I saw on another thread (done this way). I put a 10k resister in and car will attempt to start but die within seconds. At first I thought maybe I didn't have vacuum lines connected correctly and started moving them around with no avail. Im stuck and she's been sitting for 3 days. Somebody help!

Looks great. Im not a huge fan of silver but when you have a touch of it in there like you do, snazzys it up some without making to much bling.

Ya I'm not much of a bling bling kind of guy. That's why painted them black. And yes I agree that just a touch looks good

There is a bolt hole in the upper intake that everyone forgets to seal. It is on the left side of the motor as you are looking at it. Put a bolt in the hole with some rtv. Good to go

Hey bone collector , did you have any problems with the egr mod you did such as not holding idle and dieing right after you start it. On mine i can hear it ignite on my 4runner 3.0. I've resealed the block off plates with rtv. Sealed off the intake hole that was left with a pvc cap and like 99% sure I put the right vacuum hones where their supposed to be. I'm stumped. I even put the 10k resistor in. I'm at the wtf do I do now stage

Any check engine light codes? Did you read my previous post about the intake hole? All I can say is slow down, take a deep breath and keep calm. Triple check everything

Pull the efi fuse and count to 30. Slowly. Reset the computer and give it a try. I would guess you have a vacuum hose backwards or not blocked off somewhere

I have quite a few pictures but it would be helpful if you took some. Particulary the where your pvc cap is basically everywhere you've had to seal and such. After you took the pair off that hose in the back of it. Its a larger hose. What did you do with that. I haven't sealed it off or anything. Thanks again !!

I used a pvc cap seal off a hole that was left over by the air intake. On my truck when you take the silencer box off you are left with a hole that your supposed to seal. I used a pvc cap to plug that hole. Its about two inches big.

I have an air box from a supra so I can't help you much. I deleted my intake silencer. Scroll back a few pages and you can see most of my setup

I was wondering where you got that from! That's a way better idea then a white pvc cap. Looks very clean in there. Every post I sed about egr removal there's always a 10 page agruement over how bad it is for the enviroment. Etc. Its been difficult to find someone who has actually done it step by step.
