It doesn't look weird! its not that I don't like the other look more... Just in a different way. This is a classy looking little sleeper right here. Sr5 aluminum rims on a set of brand new 31's on there and you'd be surprised how much props you get, and maybe not as much as you have her sitting now... But you get the point. They look great stock. Will certainly get better freaking mileage! Hahaha.

I did the HID retrofit today. I didn't get many pics during the process because once I'm in "go" mode, I don't stop. But these are the few that I took This is where I mounted the ballasts. The wiring is hid behind the bumper. Hellas drilled out with the grommets Super bright! With the grill on and the wiring "cleaned up". Not really as clean as I wanted. If I were to do it again, I'd cut off the big connectors that the kit uses and use regular spade connectors so I could fit it all in the small wire loom and fit it under the grill. Now some comparison shots: In the garage: Before with 55w halogen bulbs After with 55w HID Same, but with high beams on: Before After In the driveway: Before After Same, but with regular high beams on: Before After. Sorry for the blurry pic You're probably wondering what the arrow in the last pic was for. That's just to show where I was standing when I took this next pic And another pic for good measure And because of the warning, I've decided to put my old tires back on until I get my flares. It just looks so weird
I can either take it to an official PA inspection place or have a police officer sign off on it. So I went to the police station after school today, and there were no officers there to look at it. They were all on call. So I'll have to try again tomorrow

Ok, I got those horrible Pacer flares in the mail today. I fought for over an hour and a half just to get one on. I just couldn't get it to fit right and it looked like hell, so I got super pissed off. I really don't know what was thinking. By now, I should have learned that you get what you pay for. Hopefully, I can get a refund. The plan now is to get a set of Jungle Fender Flares. Warns would be more ideal since they cover a bit more, but the price is totally ridiculous.
Plus, I saw this pic on Jungles website and I got super excited

Maybe, if I install the jungle flares, my truck will turn into that truck, except in red of course

So the Jungle Fender Flares FINALLY arrived yesterday. They were wrapped up so well. It's almost as if they didn't want me to use them

Decals. Makes spending $280 on these even though I didn't want/need them seem worth it.

Today, I decided to start installing them. I got one on and thought "I'm not too sure about these".

But then I put my 32s on and felt a little better.

After putting drivers side rear on

I couldn't wait to put the decal on
I found out they gave me two! One red and one white.

It'll keep my Magnaflow man and my Marlin Turtle company.

Then I got hungry (well, I'm always hungry), so I came in and ate and updated this page
So far, I have found:
1. They seem fairly thin/flimsy, however I've never held or touched another fender flare before to compare.
2. None of the holes lined up
Luckily for me, plastic is easy to drill through.
3. The bag of hardware is useless. I just used the screws already on the truck.
4. They cover up heinous dents and rust and that's awesome in my book.
5. The fronts might be an issue. The mounting surface of the flares are flat, while the fender holes are at an angle. I may just bend the mounting tabs on the fender down. See below:

Finished. The fronts didn't fit as well as the rears, just because there were more dents in the fenders. Plus the bottom of the left fender is rusted out completely. I heard through the grapevine that I'm getting new fenders for Christmas. None of the bolt holes in the front flares lined up either, but that was to be expected.
Anyway, here's the finished product.

The passenger front fender was "fixed" at the bottom about a year ago, so the flare didn't fit just right.

For sure. Mine was a bit of a chore. Finally found Goof Off in an aerosol can at the Home Depot. After I had done a whole side w a razor blade and a bunch of stuff that didn't wrk.

I took my stripes off with a heat gun and a wooden spoon. I didn't damage the paint at all. I think he should leave the stripes on the truck. His truck looks so clean and preserved. The stripes definitely give it a sporty feel
