No, I don't believe in taking the stripes off these trucks. In my opinion, the stripes are what make them unique. They're what make a Toyota a Toyota. I can see taking them off if they were in bad shape or something, though. My plan was if I were to ever paint this truck, I'd get another stripe set from James Dean Creations.

Heck, I'm ready to grab me some new James Dean stickers and start over with fresh ones! I think some new gold or maybe even that same hammered black color that they used as well might be cool. I think I like the gold though. I just hate to do them when my driver side is a little bit oxidized like it is.

I could see it looking good either way for you... But I totally agree but your truck is pretty sick and looks great with the stickers. I didn't like all of them... I think it was 87 & 88 or something on the pickups( maybe 89 4Runner's as well?) when they went to that check mark that was pretty unique and short lived, no? Didn't care very much for that one.... Even that one I have seen looks really cool if its super clean. But mine I love and the 85 and 84 large block vertical stripes... Awesome!... Love your markings as well!

Some people are more mature early talking about this... mine don't look this good at certain angles, they are cracking a bit, etc.... But I've heard when they are in my condition it's even harder to remove them?......

Bam.

It happened Sunday on my way to work. It's a great feeling seeing all those numbers changing over at once. It was almost in slow motion

Nothing else really going on. Just checking in.

No, that's ok. Enjoy the cold. In a couple years or so, I'll be comfortable, hopefully able to wear shorts and a t-shirt in mid january LOL

Albuquerque and Phoenix are both great places to live. Wonderful off road opportunities, sunny 330 days a year, less sunny the other 35!

Awesome truck man!
I got a 95 v6 4x4 last year for $1600 replaced the headgasket and it was set! Until someone pulled out in front of me and totaled it... But insurance paid me $9300 for it lol so I bought an 89 v6 4x4 and I am super happy with it due to my last one being auto trans and my new one being a manual.

$9300? Did I read that right? Make a build thread for your new rig!

Thanks! And I hope the truck lasts that long!

As for why I don't like MD? Oh man, where do I begin...

WV isn't bad. What are you going to college for? If it something medical or engineering, jobs are crawling to you. Other than that, the mines is the only other good job to get into, and they ain't fun. I'm planning on becoming a welder. Anyways it's your choice. Btw, the miles on that truck ain't nothing. My 92 I have has around 277,000 miles, and they keep rolling on. Drive it like you stole it!

Another thing, on those decals, it may sound stupid, but put peanut butter on them. The oil in the pub loosens the adhesive, and then scrape. Let it sit for a couple of hours, then scrape.
