91 x-cab SAS Build-Up
Alright so im pretty new but wanted to start a thread on my soon to be SFA yota. I got this pickup in january of 2011 from a guy for 2500$. It blew up just 5 months later. About 2400$ for a motor, didn't feel like messin with it soo just over 900$ for install. So about a 5800 for this pickup haha I wanted to sell it then was talked into building it up a lil. Decided to go ahead an get a trail gear 3 inch sas kit 930$ from a guy on ttora. I bought bushwacker fender flares off craigslist from a guy nearby for 60$ for all four flares. My step dad who is the welder/mechanic I get all my knowledge and help from built a headache rack for it. Right now it is on a 4 inch pro comp lift with 33x15 bfg mud terrains.
Will get pics up soon, in process of the swap as of 4-22-12

Sounds like you got a good plan for your build. I always like a good SAS build up, lol. Just a little advice on the TG 3" IFS eliminator kit. I've heard from several people that the 3" springs are aprox. 2" shorter than TG's 4" and 5" springs, but they don't make that clear in the directions. So when you weld in the front spring hanger as per their directions, your shackle angle is not correct (because of the shorter spring length). So my advice is to do alot of research before "burning in" your front spring hanger. You might even want to tack it in place and make sure it is correct with the full weight of the truck sitting on the front axel before you do the final welding. Here is a link to Locked SR5's build thread, he ran into this problem: https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f199...75/index2.html
Also you can go to TG's forum and ask some questions over there. Anyway good luck on your build and look forward to your progress.
