like that dude at butte? lol

yea maybe so. We shall see. I just want it to sit level.
As for my update on the rig...

Nothing, im outta state at the moment.

I have been talking with a guy off craigslist and when i get back i look to buy a 5.29 third he has with a detroit ez locker. Ill see if that deal goes through, but if it does i can get my axle back together and ready to put under the truck.

Travis, you will have to come over and help with the swap!

When i get back i hope to definitly get this thing rolling. You can count on updates and pics when it does!

Okay today we made some progress. I rented a welder today (for a week if i need it) and started finishing up the axle. Welded on the upper truss, the front diff guard, and most of the marlin knuckle ball kit.

this is how it sits now

Tomorrow im supposed to buy my front differential and then i can finish completely assembling the axle and painting it. Then start the chopping shortly after.

I would like to. Im going to have the axle completely ready first though. Then i will start cutting the ifs off. IM going to use a sawzall but my dad said he would send me some blades from his work, so i have to wait for those as well.

Soon.... I have the rest of the month to get it done, but am shooting before next monday. Cause that is when the welder is due back! lol

Thank you.

Back to work today. Ill be finishing welding on the upper shock mount, spring pad, painting it again, then installing everything else.

Im going to check out a differential tonight, hopefully it looks good so i can pick it up and get the axle completely assembled.

Then tomorrow i should start chopping the ifs off or at least further prepping it to hang the axle. I have to wait for some sawzall blades, and im going to have to buy a hole saw to cut the frame for the shackles. Man i need a torch.

Ah crap i may have to see about renting one, already got a welder, but i think a torch is expensive.

Picked up my 5.29 diff tonight so right now i am welding this last thing on (upper shock mount and spring pad) and then putting the axle back together.

Ill have some pictures later tonight hopefully.

Okay, Got everything welded on the axle, then started to put it back together.

Will finish that tomorrow as well as paint it, but for now, here is a shot of how it sits currently.

Okay, last night i got the axle completely assembled.

I should be receiving my sawzall blades today so i can start with the .

The only thing that sucks is it is currently starting to rain at my house, which might delay this damn project since i cannot do this in the garage.

Maybe ill borrow one of those ez up shades (that you see at certain events with tables under them) , and put it above the truck if it would fit.

I just picked up a bi-metal hole saw from ACE for my shackle tubes, I was a little ruff and snapped some teeth off but I just brought it back and ACE replaced it.

Now get it done
