There you go!

I didn't get anything done today really, practically took all day to cut out the damn shackle tube holes with a hole saw. In case anyone is wondering, if you have access to a torch or plasma cutter, do yourself a favor and use it.... I had such a hard time it was ridiculous.

Holy crap a six page build thread to get your IFS cut off. I thought my thread ran long. You might want to consider starting a new thread since the end of page 6 is really your beginning. I don't consider swapping a third member out a build-up. Now hurry up and get your SAS done!

Why?
Got the springs hung. I think the shackle angles are good so im about to weld on the front hanger. Then i can hang the axle and call it a night.
By far the shackle holes have been the hardest for me. I had to use a hole saw and it took forever. I screwed up a shackle hole on the passenger side yesterday
so just fixed that. Waiting for it to cool now.

The sawzall was a PITA. It went okay, but a torch or plasma cutter would have been so much better.
Not sure on the brand of blades, my dad sent me like 40 blades and i used a few. The worst part about it was we were using a crappy sawzall, but it got the job done. I think me and travis (85toy) got the ifs cutoff in maybe an hour or two. maybe more im not even sure, that happened two days ago. It probably took much longer
Today i cleaned all the brackets on the passenger side off the frame and ground it smooth. I still need to deal with the brackets on the inner side of the frame on both sides, and the outside of the driver side needs to be ground.

NICE !!!
I do a ton of construction and I have a very high end Sawzall. It is very powerful and cuts through anything. That is why I was asking.
I can borrow a plasma cutter from a buddy but its a PITA to deal with him.
You got the IFS out pretty quick compared to most of the threads I have read.
I am excited to see the progress!
keep up the great work and photos.
Thanks for the info on the SZALL.

It will most likely take a while, i made cuts that still required a ton of work with the angle grinder and cutoff wheel after.
Jut got inside. Got the axle mounted tonight. pics when i get my camera back
